the new zealand ski season is coming to an end so i wanna try something big at the end. i can can do flatspin 5,7 and 9's. it may be out of my league but i want to try a kangaroo flip. i dont really care if i hurt myself aslong as im good for next season! anyone have any advice or pointers on how to do one?

dont be an idiot but if you know you can do it try it if you dont, do not even go for it because you can seriously fuck yourself up if you dont know what youre doing tramp or hit diving boards and try them there

i suppose you can get fucked up trying anything really so just set it like a flat three to flat 5. good luck.

cheers for help guys . . tried one today, got the first flat 3 but always kinda fucked up the flat 5. never expected to get it first time though! few more days should be better(i hope!)

do a lincoln loop or a flat 3 to the PEAK OF YOUR AIR. remember, you gotta do two of them, so the first flip has to be done in the first half of your air time, aka, from the take off to the peak of your height. spot the ground, but dont open up. hold your grab, stay tucked up, whatever. the second flip is just the difference between the a lincon and a rodeo 5. look across your body. if you do the first flip well, the second one should feel just like a flat/rodeo 5. but yeah, like someone said, don't be stupid. only try it if you can visualize it and are confident you will put it to your feet, maybe not land first try, but at least land feet first.

sure jump right into the hard ones. well G its like this when your

doing dubs, one on the way up and one on the way down. i hope your

trying it on the 3m spring. and im sure your not getting the sec one

around because of a pour pop. thats my prob most the time. when you set

it to low you end up doing bolth on the way down. thats no good.

Practice by doing str8 jumps off and counting out loud 1..2..switch and

get a feel for where you tricks will be at what time in the air. make

sence?

second i bet your second flip is crazy half

the time because you open your left arm on the first flip assuming you

spin left and I know you do. so SET IT RIGHT AND KEEP IT TIGHT. dont

brake you origonal set positoin untill its time to ajust to the

landing.. try that at the pool and let me know how it works.

o if you can see it in your head. you have one of two ways to go here.

1) find a jump that has the right hang time and distence. man up and go for it.

2) find a safe place to try it at least once b4 going to the hill. diving board or a foam pitt.

If

you dont have ether one of these you may have to learn old school. By

building back country pow jump and work your way up to it. the other

option is wait till the end of the session and just go for it and if

you get hurt you got 6 months to heel.

I

dont know what tricks you can do so I dont want to just tell you go do

it. its a risky trick and you should have all your exit tricks ready

for if something goes wrong. if you have never done dub back you may

want to start there. dubs are a big tricks and you should not have to

ask for to much help if your at the level to be doing this trick.

wow, thats some legit advice. i learned them on a backyard tramp this summer after seeing some kids tramp edit. i prolly wont even do it on snow but,

i started by doing a lincoln real fast then opening and spotting my landing up in the air. then after spotting it high enough i let one rip. after a few tries and really getting it into my head to commit i was able to put it to my feet. so yeah, you can do it, and this is some good advice, but realize it took me several tries to commit to the second rotation.
