How to convince parents

So I measured out area in my yard, offered to save up my own money, and even made drafting plans for a summer jib drop-in and my parents still give me trouble whenever I bring building it up. How did you guys convince your parents to allow you to build a jib in their back yard? Are my parents just not cool enough?lol

If you have a fence maybe run it along the fence. Try and build it nice. Throw a railing on top, maybe stain the sides the same color as the fence. Don't leave rails and other shit all over the yard.

Idk, I remember it took almost a year to convince my parents to let me and my sister get a trampoline. In the end had 3 trampolines side by side in the backyard, a 12' wide miniramp in the driveway and an 8 foot wide in the garage.

I think they realized I needed something to do living in the middle of nowhere. Also I paid for everything myself including the tools. I don't think I would have been able to just do it all at once but they were just sort of like whatever. At least I wasn't smoking rocks.

this. I told my parents it would keep me from doing bad stuff. If they still aren't for it then make it so u can just setup/teardown quick so it isn't sitting in their yard.

I just asked my dad about it and he said he would help build it and it would be fun to build and use

i had this problem too haha. dealing with my parents was too much trouble for me so i actually ended up building it at a local park nearby. the park had a nice hill so i didnt need to build a drop in and all i needed was the rail and the astroturf. of course i needed to bring it all home at the end of the day but it was easier than dealing with parents. thinking about using a steeper trail near my house this year. gl man.
