How to convince parents?

just got a ton of money for christmas.... never had phone before and asked if i could get 1... all good until my dad realized he had to pay 50 month for blackberrry/ iphone. anybody in same situation??need phone, how do i get 1? K+ for answers
 
Just get a cheap $100 phone and like a $15 plan... It's a fucking phone, you don't need to be browsing the internet every minute of the day, and it certainly isn't worth $50 or however much it is a month to do it... Your dad's smart in telling you no. Unless you're paying for it yourself, in which case, tell them it's your money and you should be allowed to do whatever you want with it, as long as it's not on hookers or blow...

anywho. just tell them that it will help you keep in touch with them.....

Use the ton of money you got to pay your bill.

You are probably going on a contract, chances are high that you are gong to have to pay more than $50. Go on prepad or pay as you go, same thing. Better and cheaper.

 
Better idea, tell your dad if he doesn't buy the phone you are going to spend your money on hookers and blow...
 
virgin mobile... yeah, it sounds gay but the optimus v is a dope starter phone ($79-$100, full android) and its 35 a month for unlimited text, internet, and 300 minutes (who really uses that much anyways)..... and no contract, so it doesnt really matter that much if u run out of money!
 
I have an iphone 4 for pay as you go. $40 a month and never more. I get unlimited text through out Canada. Unlimited social networking. 500mb of data. Unlimited local calling form 3-6pm 7 days a week, and 100 minutes. If that was on a contract I'd be paying about $55 - 60.
 
Just get a cheap, simple phone with unlimited texting and like 100 minutes. I hate having long phone talks, my phone is for brief communication. You can get a really cheap phone and plan, and it will be fine. Plus you can save yourself some skrilla.
 
Chances are the US does, and for cheaper. You just gotta know where to look - Canada has some of the most expensive cellphone plans in the developed world...
 
for android phones yes... virgin is $35 a month, but for an iphone, with unlimited texting, cheapest is $75 a month, with a 2 year contract, with att, unless you wanted a 3gs, on t mobile no contract, which would be $50 a month, but it would kick you down to edge interned, which is slower than paint drying
