how to convert a file to jpeg?

obviously i have some computer illiteracy problems, but i just got my dope camera and i'm trying to figure out how to upload pics onto my profile. it wont let me do it cause they aren't jpeg's. how do i convert the pictures off of my canon to jpeg?

I use a .gif converter program that converts any graphic file into any format you'd want. But that's on my mac. I don't know about PCs.

since you have no computer knowlege im assuming u use pc. first open paint, next got to file>open and find your image u want to be jpg and open it. then go file>save as. when the window pops up name your file and there will be a drop down dealy on the buttom click it and select jpg for format and click save and BAM! jpg. wasnt that exciting?

p.s. get a mac
