How to clean goggles.

Searched but didn't find anything so I hope this already hasn't been posted.

I was just wondering what is the best way to do this. Bought these splices off a guy and they reek like smoke and its kinda gross. so K+ for any tips or ideas.
 
no. do not.

it will take off the de-fogging solution on the lenses, fucking your goggles.

I suggest, getting a deodorizer, like one you would put in soccer cleats to freshen them, and have it sit next to your goggles for a few days.

Also, try hand-washing, only the strap or frame foam if the deodorizers don't work (detach then reattach)
 
Try taking the lens out and soaking the rest. The foam is what stinks. You can event take the strap off before you soak if you are worried about fucking it up. Dont soak your lens though.
 
Whatever you do, do NOT wipe the inside of your goggles. It will get rid of the anti-fog coating.. The last thing you want your goggles to do is fog up.

 
I took the lense out of and filled up my sink and put a shit load of detergent then put in the dryer for about 1 minute with 2 dryer sheets and worked out so good you can't smell any smoke! They smell soooo fresh thanks
 
Yeah, popping the lens out and then cleaning the frame and strap with a luke warm bucket of water with some soap is definatley the best and safest method to clean most of the goggle. If your lens is ever dirty, you should use a microfiber bag/cloth to clean it up, and never spray any form of cleaner on the lens itself. Glad you were able to get the smoke smell out!
 
I assumed he was talking about the goggles minus the lenses. He said they were stinky and I didn't see how the lens could absorb a scent.
