Srry guys, im really new to ns

i dont know how to sell shit

ie. get money from person who i sold to, and shipping etc.

and then i dont know how to buy

ike am i supposed to mail them an envolope with money inside or what?

sorry for being a hardcore n00b

but

buying and selling online seems fun, so i want to learn
 
you can work out your own arrangements, but for the most party people just use paypal and send the money after they recieve the item
 
dont you mean people send the money before they receive the item? thats how its been in all the transactions ive done. and make sure you check the persons feedback or figure out some other way to see if theyre legit or not. a bunch of people have already been scammed on here.
 
Yea you gotta be careful, but its generally pretty safe. The only time I would pay after I receive the item is if the seller is a noob/seems sketchy/has no feedback whatever. Every transaction I've done on here I've paid/been paid before teh item was shipped.

Make sure to have a picture of the item you are selling too.

Just don't. If you are worried about that I'm gonna assume you are 12-14 and I am not gonna do business with you.
 
Yeah you can work it out with who ever you're buying, selling, or trading to.
You can send cash in the mail if you put it in a birthday card or something.
CRUCIAL: If you don't include in the thread that you're selling in that you can't deal through PayPal it can result in negative rep, karma, and feedback. (It might even end up as a temp ban)

Well then sit down and have a discussion about it with them.
You have to keep in mind that the most convenient to do anything now-a-days is electronically. If your parents unable you from doing so then you're going to have a tougher time in the buy/sell/trade market ESPECIALLY on NS.

It really doesn't matter that you have to be 18, it is not enforced and there is no reason to wait until you are 18 to get a Paypal, as long as you don't scam people and get reported and then get arrested. Then that could be a problem. Haha.
 
one you could make an account saying your 18 or two talk to your parents and explain how you only need their help with the account and they would probably be all for it as long as you explain yourself well.
 
Dude, there are probably millions of PayPal accounts held by people under 18. I got mine when I was 16. PayPal will not find, they have bigger fish to fry. Don't be a pussy and man up. Without paypal it is very hard to securely buy/sell something online unless you 100% trust them.
 
You do not need a credit card number to set up PayPal. If you want to get verified or transfer funds you can add your bank account, but that is not necessary if you do not need to. The easiest way for a minor to add funds if to buy prepaid credit cards from a gas station and add those once you have set it up.
 
Don't worry about the under 18 thing, just say your 18. Paypal is not going to cross reference all this shit and try to find you. Just link your bank account to it and add funds to your Paypal and there you go you may now buy stuff and receive money when selling stuff.
