I have been asked by a few people on this site what programs or how do you burn dvd’s on a Mac. So I’ve typed out instructions on how to burn one for everyone to use. Hope it helps
This is done the way I do it so it may differ from others. Programs required are MacTheRipper (free program, search for it on www.macupdate.com), DVD2oneX (free demo but all you need is a serial, search for it on limewire or something), and finally Toast 6 Titanium (also easily found on limwire). Once the dvd is in the computer quit the DVD player and open up MacTheRipper. I usually only extract the main feature but if you want all the features then go ahead. You can choose what you want to copy by going to mode. Then just hit go. If the VIDEO_TS file extracted from MacTheRipper is bigger the 4.4 gigs you have to us DVD2oneX. Open up DVD2oneX and select the VIDEO_TS and hit go. You can choose which subtitles you wont on it or none at all. Once the compression is done you can now burn it using Toast 6 Titanium. Open up toast and make sure you burn as a DVD-ROM (UDF). Now just drag the VIDEO_TS file and an empty file named AUDIO_TS into it. Open up each of the files in toast to make sure there is no file called .dstore (I think its called that). Now if you don’t have toast that okay. You can just save the dvd as a disk image. Create a file and name it the DVD. Make sure it s all in capitals and any spaces are replaced why and underscore, ex. MAC_DVD. Put the VIDEO_TS file that is compressed in it. And put and empty file in it called AUDIO_TS. Open up Disk Copy, its found in applications -> Utilities. Drag the dvd file into. Save it as a CD/DVD Master. Once that’s done put in the blank dvd and right click the disk image and click burn to DVD. You can skip MacTheRipper but it removes any encryptions and the region codes.
