what the fuck!!! people actually slide rails on skis!!??? man, that's whack

THE SPRINKLER: get butt naked and then do a 1260 while taking a piss, i expect this trick to win many comps this coming season.

but PVC can a crack in cold or B wreck your bases, bust to use matal poles and weldem, or use wood and put metal cornering peices on it

R. Kelly, R. Kelly, I wanna lick yo bawl sweat

scuse me, escuse me, i need to get by now

find someone who welds to weld you a shotgun rail (two side by side pipes) using 2 inch wide by 10 ft long pipes. i made one with all materials from home depot for under $100. i made it 2 ft tall. it might be scary at first but once you get it down itll be easier to spin onto and off of as u get more advanced.

Stop signs outlined in white are optional.

once you've nuilt the rail... give it to someone who can put it to good use!

Morons, all materials wreck your skis. PVC cracks, but is safest on your bases, metal fuckin warps and cracks your edges. just use old skis and your set

who the hell are u callin morons? no one even brought up the topic of damage to skis by rails. you didnt exactly shed any new light on the situation either.

I went to Home Depo. they have these 4 by 10's that are like 2 bucks. then I found a 4 by 10 piece of metal sheeting that fits right onto the piece of wood 4 by 10. All together it cost like 4 bucks. Its nice because the width is 4 inches which is really nice and its 10 feet long which is good too. Im probably going to get another one and make it into a 20 ft kinked rail. But you should give that a try. Try not to just build a wood rail , find some kind of metal to put on top of it. The wood will just rot.

learn to weld and then buy pipe

use steel then fall on it and then wish you never use steel. by the way thats realy heavy crapt

John- God forgives,

MOUNTANS DON'T

only make it 4 in. wide at the max. otherwise there is no point in balancing, make it like 1 1/2 to 2 ft. tall

i got the best and easest way to make a shot gun rail... get to almunim rails as long as u want, drill a hole on the two ends (only the bottom side) get a drill and washer and put a screaw through the hole into a 2x4 do that to all 4 ends and build 3 bases as Hight as u want, then screw them into the other 2x4. then your set...

or buy one of the crap single rails from sports authority for like $30, hey dave lemme see ur rail, and we should set it up somewhere and shoot vids, cause i got a nice cam for that kinda stuff, and get all the other freeskiers around G'bury and have a rail session, thatd be sick

all of this is good and great, but where the hell do u put them, and where do u get the snow, ice rinks??

Being Irish, I guess I should resent the Notre Dame nickname 'The Fighting Irish.' After all, how long do you think nicknames like 'The Bargaining Jews' or 'The Murdering Italians' would last? Only the Ironic Irish could be so naively honset. I get the feeling that Notre Dame came real close to naming itself 'The Fuckin Drunken, Thick-Skulled, Brawling, Short-Dicked Irish'

also, how do u make curved rails, like an nice s rail

alright, you either need to be able to make an inrun that can produce enough speed to get onto your rail, it helps if you have a small slope. Ussually befor you build a rail you know where its going, you cant just ask where it goes, you get to decide that. The next thing it, you can try making an s rail out of a trampoline frame but it will be really hard to do. To make something like a nice c rail, rainbow rail, or s rail you need a pipe bender, it bends the pipe without kinking the tube( think of bendng a straw in half, thats what happens without a pipe bender.)

Yeah, learn to weld, i built a 20ft long 2 ft. high flat rail in 3 hours last night. All by myself, just make sure you have the right tools or its gay. I already had a 12ft shotgun, 3ft high, welding is the way to go. def

never use alluminum. anyone who does is an idiot. alluminum is waaaaay too soft. unless you need to move it around alot, go with steel.
