How to build a homemade rail

I wanted to build a rail this year for my backyard so i can practice. Does anyone have any ideas of how to build one if anyone has built there own before?

or just build a little setup out of some 2x4's and put UV treated puckboard on it. Kindas like a super skinny funbox. that would probably work...good for learning.

I had a pvc rail and I ski up in New Hampshire and there were a few really cold days and mine never shattered or cracked, it slid really well to.

if you want to spend money this is a farm gate sold at TSC (tractor supply company)for about $100-$200 depening on what size you want. they usually come 50' high and between 10 and 20ft. what im going to do is cut the bottom two horizontal pipes off leaving the 2 middle vertical supports and the 2 end ones and stick it in the ground and maybe scrape the paint off the top. i was thinking about buying two and get someone to weld them together for a nice double barrel. not a bad price for a 20ft. pre-made straight rail.

.

i put a wooden doel(sp?)/pole in the pvc to prevent shattering.

I 'found' metal coping that goes in fences and welded into what I wanted. Call around for welders if you dont know how to do it. You may even have a teacher at school who you could talk into helping you.

i'm currently building a PVC rail. i've just got the rail supported with some 2x4's and i'll be putting a wooden dowel through the pipe so that it won't break. i'll post some pics when i get it done (next week maybe, cause i have no extra time)

Dude. Just make a diagram of what you want, and put it together.

It's not rocket surgery or brain science here.

Fuck.

It's the batontwirlertwistshakebakecakeholehumperdinkkink rail.

You can get circular tubing at home depot no problem. It's getting square tubing that is hard. If you want square tubing, fucking go to a construction site and steal some, that's what I did. As for making the actual rail, go find a base, (like a 1 cm thick piece of light metal) that has good stability, fucking plan if you want a straight/kinked/bent-however-you-fucking-like rail, welds some supports, weld the base, sand the top of rail (where you will be sliding), buff that shit, wax it, voila... you have a rail.

i found one of those farm fence things in town near me, but it's to block off some area to let the grass grow by these fucking rich waterfront condos... they don't need it, maybe i'll just take it.

no doubt, sit back on the couch, pants down, rubber on, set to turn that ass out. Laid the bitch out, then i put it in her mouth, pulled out, nutted on a towel, then passed out.

pvc does not shatter, thats bullshit. get four 1/2 inch pvc pipes nad put it on a 2x4. easy enough

Just go buy some pvc (doesnt cost much at all) and a 2x4 and nail or screw them together. Its nice for getting form down cause its barely off the ground.

i'm sorry i dont normaly do this but use the fucking search bar god damit there has been 32-9538-52348943t5 threads about this FUCK!!

I got mine at an old factory with a hack saw. Picnic tables always work too. As long as you can get a truck, $0

i used PVC, works great! ive hit it during the winter with disaster and it holds up great! i used 2 1" pieces. The smaller diameters are sronger than the bigger pipies.

2x4 works really well. I take it and jack that shit up on cinder blocks. IF you put snow on top you can slide really fast.

Peace out homies.
