How tight?

what kind of question is this...seems like people are making threads just for the point of making threads.

how tight you buckle your boots is fully a matter of where they feel comfortable on your feet. you cant take someones advice on boot buckling nor can you say "1080 boots should only be tightened to the first or thrid notch, anything else makes you gay"

I can already see it happening....."Third Buckle Crew." Kids are getting lamer every minute, not everything needs to be a fashion statement.

when you get fitted for boots the buckles should be comfortable around the middle of the settings. too tight can mess with the intended flex patterns and possibly deform the shell over time. its all about finding the happy medium with the micro adjusters.

well....all the cool kids arent even buckling up their boots. maybe you should ride like that since i told you this secret piece of information in your thread..

tighten them as tight as you can to prevent shin bang. the bottom 2 buckles dont matter i never actually buckle the bottom one i just leave it open

loose is fine on rails or smaller tables and in the pow, you just have so much feeling for the ski, but for bigger and faster stuff you need to tighten em.

i tighten the second and third buckles to keep from toe jam. i have pretty tight boots since i am used to race fit, but i like snug

i rock mine as tight as i can without cutting of the circulation, helps with shine bang and i feel like i have more control over my skis
