mommy and daddy are loaded, and they just love spending money on little billy and sally and everything they want. Even if its a brand new beamer for there 16th birthday.....

i fucking hate spoiled kids, i dont care if there rich i just hate the spoiled ones.
 
I live in PA. I am going to Windells this summer for my first time. I work two jobs in the summer and work landscaping for my dads friend who pays 10 an hour. I have to pay for the whole thing. I like paying for my own stuff, you feel so much better knowing you came up with 2500 dollars on your own and didn't have to get it from your parents.
 
its just a little annoying to here all the great things about these places and have the money and have put in the work but not being able to go. and seeing all the pros that have come out of these camps. and rly wanting to progress just not being able to because lucky ass kids who live by them or spoiled ass kids get to go that dont deserve it
 
its not so much jealousy, like im sure most of us would like the idea of our parents being wealthy and paying for everything we wanted, but on the second hand im glad my parents do this. I pay for the majority of my things, such as sports equipment or ski trips, and i have to wrok for this money. I live in a middle class family in a nice neighbour hood in the subburbs. Could my parents afford to buy me alot of my stuff? well yes they could but they both came from europe ( dad from hungry, mom from portugal ) when they were 12 and both didnt have much money in there family ( dad especially, moms family was middle class i supose ) and prefer not go throw money around.

Kids who are spoiled have no sense of reality, they just go ask mom or dad for $50 when they go to the movies and there parents give them that and more. then in the real world they see that mom and dad cant pay for you sucess and you cant just go blowing money around like an idiot.
 
Perhaps. But the little snots think they are cool because they have alot of money. Which is totally untrue. THEIR parents are cool because they have alot of money. The kids have almost no money :)
 
Just because kids are rich doesn't mean you need to bitch about it, plenty of kids have wealthy parents and work their asses off, get into good schools and make their own living. Just because rich people have the reputation of being spoiled does not mean it is true. And who would complain if their parents were nice enough to buy them shit I wouldn't complain.
 
i live in washington and go to a cheaper but way chiller camp with the help of my grandparents...?
 
if you read my previous post you would have seen that i clearly said i dont hate rich people, i dont like spoiled kids

especially the snobby ones. I love how everyone thinks just because i feel this way its because im jealous when i really dont give two shits about not having my parents blow their money on me. Most of the kids saying im jealous are those spoiled kids who dont want to face the truth.

Im %150 ok with working and paying for my own stuff, besides it feels 10X better working for your own money, gives way more value to what you buy. I take excellent care of my stuff because well i paied for it, i know spoiled kids who treat all there possesions like shit because they can get new stuff from their rents.

Working for your money gives you a sense of accomplishment, having someone pay for everything gives you a sense that most things in the world are going to come for free.
 
I have to pay airfare there and back which is ALOT of money for a highschool junior. I work all of the year and use pretty much all that money to pay for the airfare to Oregon.

either way, im still thankful they pay for the camp itself
 
btw im not trying to start a hate war or anything, i just personally believe ( its my opinion ) that spoiling yoru kids is a bad way of parenting and, like said, that kids who work there asses off to go to places like windells and CoC almost ( NOTICE I SAID ALMOST ) deserve to get the spot more than kids whos parents pay for it ( i said almost because maybe its a special gift or present, im refering to kids whos parents buy them like verything.

And i especially believe those kids deserve to go more than spoiled kids who get to go every season, i think everyone deserves and should get the chance to experience these camps though. Ive heard such great things about them.
 
the fact that your generalizing all the kids who go to windells as spoiled kids is just plain stupid. I paid for every cent of the windells admission price and the plane tickets
 
shit dude, ive looked at the numbers, and from San francisco to oregon and back, with the pirce of the camp is like 4 grand for me. thats why i arranged to just pay for airfare
 
truth, there is definitly a percentage of kids that go to camp whom have worked for it and earned it.

On the note of it, I wouldnt mind going to Momentum or CoC for a session as I am in my senior year and I am already paying for my university so maybe my parents will cut me a deal on camp as my graduation present.....or a car would be nice.
 
i actually didnt mean to generalize, im completely serious. I ment to add in that post that not all the kids are like that. The kids i know who went worked a fuck load to get the money to go to CoC. Im a %100 serious i ment to say that but i forgot. I realize alooottt of the kids pay for it them selves
 
I went to Momentum, and since I live an hour and half drive from the camp I didn't have to buy a plane ticket. And I helped pay for part of the camp with money I earned from working.

i no wat you mean brother!!! i no i couple of these sorts of people!! some are my best friends, it sucks they have a top of range gears for everything and then theres me whos works to pay for most of my gear.

they just ask mummy or daddy for a new car or new skis or new outawear, then the next time i see them they got new stuff!! so unfair! why cant my parents be like that =D haha
 
haha yea man, some kids in my grade get $100 a day from there rents. This one girl buys her friends, literally if you hang out with her shell buy you basically whatever the fuck you want. In grade 9 she just gave people itouchs constantly, she told my one friend she would give him her nano but if she couldnt find it she would just buy him an itouch.

Im also friends with two other guys who are friends( not good friends just buds) with this girl and they were driving to he liqour storeand she asked if they wanted anything and she got friend A a 60 of Disarono and the other guy a texas mickey of grey goose ( for all you americans a texas mickey is basically a big fucking bottle of alcohol, 3 litres or 106 ounces )

One kid got expelled from constantly having her buy shit for him. She offered and he accepted, then her dad realized ( after years ) that she was taking loads of his money and buying people stupid amounts of things. So he bitched her out and she blamed it all on 5 kids and got the police involved and tried to sue. For the guy who got expelled he had something like $3800 spent on him or something. Its kind of bullshit how when she was about to get introuble she balmmed it on others and hd them take all the blame but at the same time its kind of stupid to accept that much stuff in the first place, even when people offer to buy me small things i dont accept half the time.

w.e that was totally off topic but thats an example of the kids i dont like, kids who are snobby and buy there friends. I didnt mean to come of so bitter earlier making it sound like i hated on kids who had money, its just the spoiled bratty ones who get to me.
 
First off, quit bitching. When I went to windells most of the people I hung with all paid for a substatial amount of their trip. Second, instead of wasting your time being resentful, why not try earn some money?
