How the fuck do you close a Paypal account?

I need to shut my Paypal account down and either I'm retarded or they make it extremely hard to do so. I don't use it enough, I keep getting sketchy emails from them and I've heard to many Paypal horror storied. I don't trust it anymore, I'm donezo. How to I shut it down?

i went and looked, use the search bar for close account and something comes up the first thing in bold it says close account, then press continue, i dont know what happens after that because i dont want to close mine. lol but otherwise just write to them, theyre only helpful through email not on the phone at all. if anything try to end those emails and just let the account rot.
