okay well im making a backyard setup and im using about fifteen feet of 7.5"D tube, i think i will rais it about 5" so get some down slope. my jump wont be too big and not much distance between the end of drop in and jump (2 feet). so im wondering how tall i should make my drop in so i have enough speed and what angle i should make the drop in ramp at??

+++++K any help, would be Sick

Since your drop in is going to be short, you can probably make it between 35 and 40 degrees. It will be a little scary if you're dropping switch, but you'll get used to it. You could go 20 to 25 degrees and use snow gel, if this is going to be for a summer setup. If you covered it with the industrial carpet like the stuff they use in the thread below, it will work for summer and winter.

look at brogans backyard edits and check out his setup i think 8 feet is way too much i had mine that big before and it did give us enough speed but we didnt build it right and if built correctly you can have a baller setup with less feet

Yeah, i think 8 ft would be maybe a little to tall but depending on how you build the actual drop part of it it could be fine. My friends and i will be making one about 6 ft tall and i have skid one about that height and it was good for a 15ft flat rail. 6ft should be plenty.

our slant (angle) id say is probably like a 70º angle.
and haven't made the rail yet, were thinkin like 9 or 10 feet tho

okay sweet i think i will make mine 7 just to be safe and if im getting to much speed i will make the rin in longer, thanks guys you have alll been a big help

what is your surface on the down ramp? i used this thick orange plastic stuff. ive only hit it like three times and hasnt worked too good. what are you guys using for yours?

sorry if im thread-jacking here but,

i have a treefort that is 10 ft. tall and i was thinking of making it a dropin. would 10 ft. be too tall?

im using this like astro turf carpet stuff for mine, im done i went 6 feet because the ramp that we found was like 8 feet long and a 7 foot ramp would make it so steep , once we get hte turf i will post pics
