i got a awsome deal on a pair of Hippy Stinx, the telemark seth pistol equivalant, but im wonderin if theyre gonna be to small. theyre 169's, and im like 5'9. its a really really good deal, but i dont wanna invest 300 into something thats not gonna fit. iv only had experiances with long skis, so i dunno how thesell work out. they should be around my nose area.

I'm like 5'9 and my old 169 PE's go up to my forehead at least...you should be fine if you don't think you are going to grow alot.

sucks to be you haha he short ski fad needs to go away , dude im your size AK and i couldnt ski a 169 comfortably off piste , pretty much you couldnt charge it without getting luanched, Dont listen to park skiers recomend a pow ski size. There fucking retarded^ 179 is calling your name and if you wanna go HUGE ( of 30 foot+ cliffs) get 189's. Especially if your in love with Chinese Kamakize downhilling.

if your 5'9" a 169 is gonna me too small unless you're a complete pussy. then they may work ok.

Hes right...169 is pretty dam small unless your a small little guy and dont weight much

if you weigh more than 150 you should jump to the 79....

I ski a 179 seth (5-11 175) and they area little to small for super fast big mountain/hucking but overall they do well

i use a 188 apache chief for the big days and strgtlining

 
calskierx knows my style and hes right. i thought about it somemore. if they were a park ski, id probably get em. but park skiings stupid, especially when you live in AK. iv ridden 185 rockets for a couple years, and those were interesting. 2 years ago, they were much taller than me. dont know to many 12 year olds sporting 185's. so yea, now im on the lookout for somethin either 189 or 179. anyone? pistols.....BC's.....motherships....somethin in that range, you get?

if you were skiing 185's the 169's are too small, keep them big for big mtn. I thought my 180's were too small when i was 12, and I weighed about 115, I'm glad to see there's some people on here who have the need for bigger skis.

 
i know exactly what you mean. i really cant stand the park scene. its good for skiings image and stuff. but i just cant stand it. big mountains the way to go. its always nice to see someone sportin a ski over their forhead.

damn, you guys got me though i just realized i need a true big mountian ski, Sumos are huge but those are pow skis, so im thinking about picking up some sanouks as well , damnit this was the last thing i needed..More skis
