How should I paint this beer pong table?

Do I need to sand the wood first? Primer? Lacquer? Any help or ideas would be appreciated

Here is my table:

why are you wasting your time painting an uncut piece of particle board? i mean i could understand if you had a legit table that you made but come on dude that's pointless

I mean if we are painting it and trying to make it look legit you should probably cut it to regulation size first.

i want it this size because we like to play 12 cup pong and other party games such as fuck hole/slap cup

Not even kidding... I stumbled across some ridiculous "mlp" (major league pong) website like a year or two ago. Got a chuckle out of it.

You don't really stain OSB, which is what you got there. If you had a legit piece of plywood, then you could stain it and make it look decent. Use it as is.

LOL

I don't shoot near the table anyway. People and there bro rules. Also op, if you care how it looks why not get something better to start with? If you want to paint wood and make it look good throw down some primer first. You're probably better off just drawing dicks on it though as it will probably never look that sick

Just paint a base coat on and spray paint stencils on and put stickers on it. Im assuming if youre too uncreative to think of something to paint on it you sure arnt creative enough to actually put what ever we tell you onto that board.

Going through the trouble of sanding and staining a piece of plywood like painting flames on your rusty 1997 Dodge Neon held together with duct tape and zip ties.If your "board" with the looks leave some sharpies on there at your next party and your artsy friends will have at it or draw dicks all over it.

That's how you make osb look good. Pretty sure they just saturated it with resin and made it glossy as hell. There's boat made like this, it's called the OSB.

dude its a fucking beer pong table why waste time making it look good for it to get shitty again? if you really dont want it plain then grab some sharpies get wasted and draw some stupid shit

i painted ply wood like that with spray paint and it was a pain in the ass. If i were to do it again i would use real paint. dont listen to what everyone says. we made an american flag painted plywood and used to put it on a ping pong table for beer pong and it was legit.

A friend of mine did his whole cabin floor in OSB and then lacquered the shit out of it, turned out real nice. That's what I suggest

Paint it so it looks like your looking down something like a well or off a cliff or something. That would freak you out as you got drunk playing

I would recommend making a new top for that out of pergo or cheap salvaged wood flooring. Then you can paint whatever on that or leave it and it looks way nicer than just particle board. Once you've painted it, seal it with a lacquer and you'll be golden. It'll be flat, bounce well, and not get all nasty and rot from being wet all the time.

sticker bomb that piece of wood, then toss on a piece of fiberglass on top....i have a local sign store near me that's where i got mine

That is actually wood chips in resin formed into a table, not OSB. I used to work for a company that made tables like that.

just have sharpies and let people write on it every time you use it when you look at it later it will be a lot funnier than seeing some design you painted on it

do the resin thing... or first roll it with that stuff from home depot that's for decking/concrete...called like deck restore or whatever, to give it a rhino lined look

then paint your school logo on it or something.

I would probably just spray paint it. If you make stencils, you can probably get something looking decent. If you decide to put a finish on it, don't use lacquer or shellac as they both break down in the presence of alcohol. This causes ugly stains on the table. Use varnish instead as varnish is more resistant to water and chemicals.
