How SASS took advantage of this Newschooler...

shit happens. hope you get your money eventually. I worked for a "company" that didn't pay me in full. Buddy still owes me somewhere between $1700 and $2000, but due to certain... issues, I don't expect to ever actually see that money.

sounds really sketchy when he said not to threaten him because he has done his homework. that whole thing is just fucked up.

Shitty.

I've considered going on these sorts of things before, but this reaffirms my commitment to make the trip happen myself.

Scumbags that take advantage of hard work and loyalty are the worst.

Hi everyone,

Ryan here (yes, that's my real name) from SASS Global Travel. I had the

pleasure of working side-by-side with Jack this past year and am sorry

that this has happened to him. We are doing our best to get through our

current predictament, with Jack's payment being one of the priorities

on our list. South America Snow Sessions had operational issues this year and now SASS Global Travel, under new management and separate from South America Snow Sessions, is trying to move forward; South America Snow Sessions'

owner quit the company and left us with unpaid debt to our employees

and no money. Not to mention that the current employees of SASS Global

Travel are suffering from the same wrong-doings as Jack, including ME,

both for commissions owed like Jack and also expenses incurred

developing environmental and community projects in Argentina this

summer. We are all working extremely hard to resolve the situation, but

must respectfully state that employee-employer grievances are not the

kind of fodder for internet forums, and that this kind of activity also

lays blame on lots of people, including myself, who don't deserve it and

are in fact working to create solutions themselves. This is clearly a

serious matter and one that should be handled professionally, and we are

doing our best effort with the small resources we have at the moment to

resolve the very difficult situation we have been left with.

You are all completely entitled to your own opinions and we will not

spread any nonsense about any of you for having negative views of our

company. We are going through quite a serious transition period and our

main goal is to restore faith in our operations and our people now that

both of those have been seriously re-examined and reset. We are

decent, dedicated skiers and snowboarders like all of you and strive

above all to provide a great service to our clients. If you have

further things you'd like to discuss, please feel free to call us at our

New Hampshire office at 1.800.851.4660 - we'd be happy to talk to you.

Best of luck to everyone this winter and happy shredding.

oooohh dear dear Ryan but it is....if you piss somebody off enough they will take it to the internet, and it is (in most cases) there forever...just a fact of life in the information age!

i disagree. this needs to be handled very maturely. taking this to a forum full of tweens won't help at all in actually resolving the situation, it's merely an outlet to vent frustration.

Seriously, you are doing the right thing by posting this and making it public. There is probably a pretty large pool of people who might consider working for SASS here and they deserve to know information like this. This post will help them make the right choice when it comes to supporting themselves and their families. And when the time comes and this is cleared up, SASS will look all the better for persevering through a difficult situation AND making it right to those who were wronged during their tough times.

He's allowed to tell others that he got screwed over... I would do the same thing if they did this to me. Why not let others know?

im sure leading up to posting it on ns he handled it in a mature way, seeing few results if any which in turn caused him to post it on NS...and look only a few minues later he gets a response from somone associated with SASS, not bad if you ask me

plus it gives him a bit of leverage. Taking someone or something on for what's rightfully yours is better when you have support.

hope it all gets sorted out quickly, and happily though. Such situations just suck.

well thats sad but what dd you expect of a spanish country? we lived in spain for 6 years and there its really common to get blackmailed or other shit, for example we were selling or house and we needed all of our nabours to sign and one said ill only sign if you pay me 10000 euros and than you really have to pay if you want youre hoese sold or not, just sayin

Haha, yes, I've heard that Spanish speaking country of New Hampshire is a real bitch.

This is why BroBomb don't pay! 100% indentured servants.

Hope things work out with Jack, and hope you remaining SASS dudes come out on top...although you might think of firing that Dunfee character. He's a drain on resources.

You are an idiot man... first of all spain is in europe and argentina in south america. total different cultures... And why do you generalize like that? there is honest people and dishonest people everywhere, not only in spanish speaking countries. You had a bad experience in spain but you could have that in other places too.
And by the thing he worte in his blog, the poeple that screw him over were not argentinians but americans. you asshole.

Incorrect sir! I have always believed that, if someone has a good experience with your company, they will tell someone. If they have a bad experience, they will tell anyone and everyone they can. It's just gotten a lot easier to share a bad experience.

As a company providing a service, you are only as good as the people who work for you. They are your internal customers, and they are just as important as your external clients. If you treat them right, great things happen. If you fuck them over.... well, I hope this was a good learning experience for you.

You have earned a reputation as a dishonest company. You need to earn back your reputation starting with your former employees. It really doesn't matter whether it was you who caused it or the owner who quit. When companies have issues like this, everyone points the finger at someone else. Stop blaming and start resolving it.

Whilst this sucks balls, I don't think you'll see the money soon as your contract had technically expired.
I really do hope you get your money though, and I hope that SASS realize that the couple thousand dollars they owe you is a lot less than the amount of business they will lose once this leaks on TGR and spreads like wildfire.

woww.. that blows hardcore... Vibes to this guy. Plus he's living on Rye Beach (I live 5 minutes away), and it's very pricy down here..

Something that really bothers me is that you said nothing in your work with them was ever very professional, yet you justified that by noting that this is the ski industry so it was okay that there is a lack of professionalism.

I don't think a $4.6B industry is big enough to require professionalism.

Yes or no question.
WILL HE GET PAID? SASS i'm looking for you to reply to this. and not with a 2 paragraph long reply just a simple yes or no.

^If the company goes under he probably won't.

Seriously though, here are your choices:

1. Write a long drawn out grievance on an internet blog and start a thread on a website, or

2. Sue them.

Not really much of a coin flip is it?

Wow, that really sucks Jack. I hope you get your well earned money, and am glad I got to ski with you this summer!

In their defense, what little Ill provide, Im almost sure they can't give a definite yes or no. But I sure as hope they can at least provide a 'yes but with time.'

....can you please slide me a pancake under the basement door? I mean....please, SIR?
I hate to be a bother, but I think my kidneys are shutting down...

true these are your only options, but as someone who loves skiing and supports the industry, do we need another lawsuit within the community? i dont think we do, but he does want his money. i think he just wants to put the pressure on them hoping he gets his money without taking legal action, and so far hes been able to get along without it and life goes on.

i hope you get this resolved, preferably without a lawsuit, but if you must, then that is up to you, and hopefully SASS can get their shit together

Sounds like some weird owner splinter happened with the two companies. May as well re-brand over the summer because this is gonig to kill the name and trust on NS, and everynoe will just go with Evolve Chile instead.

Wrong. Travis Moore, quoted as being "part owner" of SASS is still involved as the sole owner of SASS Global Travel LLC, incorporated in NH.
I understand that this is putting a damper on you Ryan, and for that I am sad because you were always a a good guy and I have no issue with you.

AGREE 100%some kids here are very ignorants...
i'm from bariloche argentina, where de SASS came to ski this past winter, they may not only fucked you with all this contract& legal issues.but SASS left bariloche without paying most of the Accomodations for the campers... as sad as you are reading this.they only paid the first payment down. and they never pay the rest, which i've been told it was a LOT of money. more than 20,000.so i feel very sad for the people who have been blackmailed, specially the one in my town, cause people here don't have all the resources and a bunch of tourists blackmailed them.hope this gets settle down and fixed...of chourse this dudes that "manage or own SASS" are no longer welcome in bariloche...

Sounds to me like SASS didn't make nearly enough sales to cover its expenses. It sucks, but I'm not sure anyone's going to see money out of this.

what a joke company, don't pay their employees then just start up under a new name. SASS or SGT or SACS(the CS is for cock suckers) don't plan on getting any newschoolers to sign up until you make this right. Ryan, if you really want to be mr big boy snow tour owner, man the fuck up, get a credit card advance from your personal credit card and pay the guy what he's owed. OOOOOOOOORRRRRRRR file for bankruptcy and never show your scam tour company face again. Not under the same name or a different one. You are clearly not capable of running a company like this, how many people will you screw under the new name?

Well I don't think about working for SASS (i wont lie i would love to have a job that involved me touring with tourists all day)....
I do think about vacations down south and even considered going with SASS to....South America
funds were short
Im glad they were because this shit is fuckin gay.

Take a motherfucking business line of motherfucking credit out of the gat damn bank and get some fucking money.
If you are insolvent you are fucking bankrupt. Not in a transition period.
I hope you pissed Argentina off too with your projects that are never going to come to life.
My opinion remains, fuck you SASS until further notice. Fuck you for allowing your company to sit in a position where one person held all the cards and caused everyone to get fucked over.
If you are basically passing blame off to some other individual here, I want you to file a motherfucking LAWSUIT against them and POST THAT SHIT so we can track it and see just who is right here in the court of law.
