hes 23 or 24. i dont know exact ages but its right around there.
candide has been around since he was 15, that is almost a full decade of progressing the world of freeskiing, and i think few people compare to the impact hes had. He was really "freeskiing", spinning and grabbing and tweaking, while JP and JF were just getting started. Think about it...
-biggest d-spin ever over chads (age 15, 16?)
- stealing the show at Superpark 4 (the stupidly huge jumps at Mammoth in, oh, 2002?), Superpark 5, (same story), and Superpark 6 (the 810 on, the 65 ft 450 on)
- pretty much set the bar for skiing halfpipe with his 2003 gold at winter x halfpipe
- his invitational was the first of its kind in skiing, and it has since evolved into probably the most progressive event of the year
- sessioned a 150 ft jump last year at said invite
- set the world record recently for air out of a 1/4 pipe
- is as big in france as lance armstrong is here
- has had three pro models
and a two blown knees and a couple of blown achillies tendons later, you still cant slow him down!
this kid is huge, and has to be one of, if not the most, influential person in our sport today, and he rips too. it doesnt matter if its big mountain, rails, pipe, slopestyle, he slays all.

oh yeah, he had those two...the rumor on the streets these days is he's working with rossi on a new ski....i dont know if its going to be another candide pro model but he will definitely have a major part in designing it.....thats one of the reasons he jumped ship, salomon was willing to give him a very-slightly modified teneighty and call it a pro model, but rossi will let him do whatever he wants...again...speculation...

the said invite is the candide invitational in la clusaz, france, and it was off the hook this year despite some bad weather.
the quarterpipe was built on the big hill/drift where the step-ups always are for the candide invite, they converted it back into step-ups for the event, but apparently candide wanted to go even bigger on the QP, so they might have converted it back again afterwards.
