How old do you have to be to rent a hotel room in Vermont?

its 18 or 21 depending on the place. If you book it online you are less likely to get shit for being underage then if you just walked in and asked for a room.
 
not necessarily true, i got a room outside of big boulder at this motel and i'm 17. it depends on how sketchy it is, and how late you show up.

you could always guilt trip them "look. its ten pm, i'll be sleeping in my car if you don't give me this room.
 
We're looking for a place to stay in Burlington, and from there we are gonna branch out to places like Jay, Magic Mountain, and maybe Mad River Glen, and maybe Stowe (too much $$)
 
I know its 21 in jersey. Just go to the sketchiest one around, youll be fine.

Only walk in with one other person, both people 18.

If you roll up with a bunch of people, and minors, you will most likely get denied.
 
I dunno...it could definitely b different everywhere-when my boyfriend and I were driving out here to CO, a super 8 in Ohio wouldn't let us stay-and we're both over 18-so def check it out first.

Also-Magic Mtn is in Manchester-which is quite a ways from Burlington ie Mad River, Jay Peak, Stowe...so keep doing ur research so u have evrything prepared for that type of thing-have an awesome trip!

 
Thanks for all the info guys, and we're definitely gonna start doing some more research, but we'll just browse for a motel/cheap hotel and call them up
 
i stayed ina hotel room with 3 of my friends in south burlington last march, 1 of us was 18, and 3 of us were 17. we were caught drinking and it sucked bad so dont get caught, the skiing was amazing though, st pattys day weekend storm
 
hotel might require a cash deposit if its a seedy hotel... or atleast a credit card too for incidentals: breaking stuff, etc.

I stayed at the Bear Motel or Bear Claw something up around Killington Village... super cheap.. but you get what you pay for... our room wasnt touch by cleaning ladies the whole weekend.

basically it was a room with 4 walls... creepy.
 
that is not always true, it depends on the place, most will say 18 but you need a credit card to hold the room. Hotels can be shady on renting a hotel room to an 18 year old, because they always think they are going to fuck up the place. Fucking up a hotel room seems like a good idea at the time, until they charge your credit card or send you a bill. My suggestion is to call a couple of places and find out how old you need to be.
 
Ummmm adriann...you're wrong. my friends tried getting a room a few weeks ago and were told they had to be 21 to get a room. so boo to you
