I'm wondering this after seeing a few threads about getting new ski boots. Mine are about to see their 6th season and don't see a reason for new boots. Anyone else?
i had rental boots last season but i kinda kept them longer than suggested. i think that my mom ended up paying for them but tehy still fit so its cool.
i just got new boots the other day because my old ski boots gave me shin splints because i couldnt flex them so when i would land my shins would just smack the boot, but the boots i used last season were used before me .
1 season, when boots get to a certain age you really just need to get new ones, the toe and heal piece wear down and they really do a number on your shins
mine probably have about 80 to 100 days on them, but im a fucking moron and bought them online so they give me horrifyingly painful shinbang, so im dropping some cash on some professionally fit ones this season.
theyre about 4 years old, race boots though so theyve packed out and softened up pretty nicely, im getting new ones next year cause my mom said shell buy them for me
I just got brand new foil boots! but I just finished my 5th or 6th season with my old boots with prolly an average of 40 days a season so about 200ish days.
I bought them and they were from like a season or two ago, so now they're like 3-4 years old, but only have like 100 days on them. I'd really like to get a new pair though.
i thought you said you were gettin cold sores from your boots at first. mine have like 70 days i guess... sorry if this thread is no longer on the subject there's no way i'm reading 3 pages of people talking about boots.
My boots from last season were 3 years old and the front was worn down so they fell off all the time until i got different bindings that supported the boot in a different spot. def getting new boots this year.
