If you plan skiing rails again with a repaired edge, I won't work. The edge will just fall out again. If you plan on skiing rails on those I would just leave it.
when you carve hard you will notice the missing edge and itll make it a little slower. Also, the damage is likely to get worse. You should be able to ski them just fine for park though. $5 was a steal for sure too.
well if you find a very reputable good shop guy he/she can get it done for 100 bucks. if you live in or neer Massachusetts look up summit ski shop the guy there who works in the shop is awsome
Hey this looks my ski! lol But really i would just ski them. Like said above its hardly noticeable except when trying to carve on ice. And if you don't fix it i would recommend making sure the long edge gone underfoot is on the outside cause you use you inside edges to carve more. Well that's what I've found out anyway.
I dont know about the condition but a base grind might help so there aren't any pieces sticking up. Basically to smooth the whole area down so the edges don't hook
Go to a boating store and get some marine grade epoxy, usually a 2-part mixture. Fill the hole to seal the core from the elements. Sand it flat with the base and sidewall. Profit.
yea man $5 was a stteaal. you can epxy that to protect the edges from getting to much worse and then just ski them until they die. Once they die bang you got an urban ski.
You really should notice this at all ecspecially not on rails maybe a little bit on groomers or icier trails, but besides that they should be good to go. Plus 5$ was a steal
dont bother replacing the edge. just seal it up as best you can so you dont get any moisture in the core an so that it cant catch on something and rip the ski to shreds
