How much speed do you need for the jon ollson super sessions jump?

Yeah for the Big bertha (Candide jump), I think they had a guy with a speedtrap, maybe if the guy went too slow or too fast he made a sign or something to not hit it.

silly willem. it is 57.4675 mph.

honestly why would you ask NS what the speed is for a jump that none of us have been able to hit...?

I just rolled in from the knoll... you have to make a small carve or two, but if you just watch other people and gauge how fast they go you will be fine. I mean, it's not that big and the knuckle isn't very pointy so if you knuckle a little it's not bad.

The same amount of speed you need to hit chads from the bottom of alta. but unfortunately, like chads, the ski patrol also blew up the super sessions jump.

Jon says (in swedish) 120 km/h in the clip where he shows some of the jumps. That would be around 75 mph. I'm not sure if that was the hip/step-up jump or the one they sessioned on yesterday though...

somewhere from 40 to 50 mph.....there is a 100 ft table i think in norway that is like the final session for the season for all the pro snowboarders and they have to go 40 to clear it....it was on fuel tv last night lol

This is an impossible question, unless taken absolutely literally. If your question was how much speed do you (meaning me) need, then that is possible to answer. However, since you meant how much speed does "one" need to hit it, that's impossible to say. It depends on many factors, such as height of skier, weight of skier, the clothes the skier is wearing, and more. The amount of drag the skier experiences in the air is unique to each person. Your question truly has no purpose, except perhaps to elicit the answer "fast".

i only went 45 mph but because of my pro model rocket skis, i over shot the trick buster and busted a nut on the grill of the whole town as i flew over.

rofl, mike wilson went 91/98 into that jump at shasta in cordoruy.. and overshot like hell.

thats highway speed + enough to land you a ticket and make a thread about it.
