how much pro skiers earn

Yeah, there are a few. Jon is one. Tanner does alright, and the guys on CoreUpt got decent pay bumps. The notion that Simon makes 7 figures is pretty laughable, but he's a 6 fig guy from his sponsors. However, the post said "I doubt most make more than 200k", as if the majority of guys in this sport wouldn't be fucking THRILLED to have a season where they make anywhere near that kind of money.
 
I agree. On 60 minutes it said shaun white makes about 1.3 mil and he pimps his name out like woah. Most skiers, dont get nearly as much air time or arent as big as him. When I said pro skiers prob dont make more than 200k, I was meaning the guys who continually make the top 5 or top 8 in each comp. the guys who barelly make it prob barely scrape by. Some of these guys would prob be thrilled about having a season where they would make 200k.

You have to think, most freeskier pros are only competing for at most 7-8 years if there lucky. So making at most 200k is pretty shitty considering anyone with a bachelors is making 50-60k after 4 years at a steady job and in some careers such as finance or CIS are making 65-70k (prob on low end).
 
tanner makes 500,000 a year from red bull, and about 350.000 from oakley contracted... He is said to have about 5 mill saved up in his bank...hes doing pretty well
