How much money do you spend on skiing?

So far nothing this year... season passes to come, but last year i went kinda crazy...

1300 for a couple season passes

1750 for Seth Vicious, T.Halls, and two pairs of bindings

400 ish for jacket and pants and extra goggle lense, and whatever else along thoes lines

$3450 in total.. not to mention gas to the hill and food...

This season:

Jacket + Pants - $650

Puffy Jacket - $200

Helmet - $100

Bindings - $300

Snow thermometer - $30

Snow saw - $40

Level 3 Ski instructors course - $800

Carving skis for course - $600

Total - $2720

I work 2 jobs, and make almost no money that does not go right into skiing. Its sad.

comes out to $1920.
 
Every year I go into it thinking, "Okay, here's what I need for this season, it'll all come to under 500$."

This year I needed bindings and some outerwear. Under $500.

I have spent, so far... $1700. 650 on outerwear, 300 on skis, 100 on bindings, 650 on passes. But I guess that includes passes And my 500 didn't... still.

Strangely enough, I don't think I made $1700 this entire summer put together, and what I did make I spent on school. Where the fuck did I get 1700 for ski equipment? Seriously, I don't even know, I must be robbing banks in my sleep. I don't think I've ever had more than $350 in disposable cash at any given time. Good thing I'm selling so much stuff. Someone buy my 40k/20k insulated goretex jacket!
 
in the past including school, outerwear, skis, trips, passes probly like 80grand +

but this year just $500 for outerwear, keeping the same skis, $400 boots, $300 pass, $130 for goggles
 
I'll rebuy everything this year. I worked 1 month only for my ski equipment:

Skis + bindings: 800$

Burton jacket + pants: 600$

Boots: 300$

Helmet: 60$

Googles: 200$

Gloves: 100$

Some small things like beanis, caps, t-shirt and co: 200$

Total: more or less...

word, i got some garmont adrenalin boots which go for $500-600 in stores for $275. my neighbor co-founded the company or something so i got a deal. plus i woked in the warehouse for a few days. i love the boots too...3 piece, adjutable canting like most boots have, adjustable soles between alpine touring and regular alpine soles, touring buckles for hiking, walk+ski mode, fully molded with custom footbeds. god i love them. and the lightness of them.

so far this year i think i'm pretty well set, all i bought was a new jacket at $350. but last year i went all out. totally re-outfitted and spent probably close to a grand on gear. and it was all discounted by at least %50 too.

boots : 800$

skis SL with bindings: 1750$

skis GS with bindings: 1750$

this season :

poles x2 pairs : 350$

goggles : 150$

jaket : 800$

twin tips : 500$

so this season (pretty much like any other season minus poles goggles and twintips) i spend going to spend around 5500$ + race fees daaaaaaaamn!
 
Just wondering how many of you got some finacial aid from your parents, because i sure as hell wish i got some paying your way sucks?
