How much would you be willing to pay for a new pair of skis for park/all mountain purposes. Would you pay extra for a custom topsheet?

I’ve done that a few times and it’s worked out well. I also tend to pay more then keep bindings from old setups and just cycle out skis with the same bindings. Both those tips have saved me a lot.
Also, I always buy last years skis and I always buy during the big sales (end of season/Labor Day/Memorial Day/etc.). Most companies only change topsheet, and if they change tech - they make a big deal of it (for marketing reasons). So I’d say $400 - $500 is a good sweet spot for unused gear, if we’re being thrifty and buying a whole setup
