How much is PVC these days?

Im making a grind in my back yard and want a cheap one. i need like an eight to ten foot section. How think should it be? i dont wanna snap it.

im not learning rails......i just need some cheap round shit to grind. I thought steel would be expensive, so i went PVC. Is it bad, why for beginners??????

 
just get steel. lasts longer. pvc is crap.

did you hear about those kids who are like in jail now cause they stole a stp sign and there were accidents at that intersection and they got in deep shit... PVC is super fast

 
PVC will hold up as long as you reinforce it. On our 25 foot 3 piece ghetto rail in the front yard we reinforced the skinnier PVC pieces with 2x4s on the bottom so that they don't bend. But, my ultimate plan is to 'borrow' some of the rails behind the bleachers of our high school. For some reason there are like these perfect 2' wide steel rails just sitting there. Booya!
