I use to take accustic gutar lesssons but then my mom made me quit in the school season. Now it's summer and i would rather take up electric gutar because those are the songs i like. The problem is that i need to buy one...any advice?

save up some money, go to the music store, pick one you like, and buy it

are you sure you needed advice on how to buy something?

You can buy a Fender Squire electric guitar for about 150...a small amp is 80-100. The Squire is very good for a beginner who is just starting out and or finding out if they like it. From there, you can move on to a more expensive guitar.

Also, learn how to spell G-U-I-T-A-R

just get one you like. sure there is a big difference in how a cheap one plays vs. a decent one, but as long as you like it. just play it before you buy it

im not crazy 'cause i take the right pills everyday

just get a nice little cheap one for now. the sound quality isnt as good but your just learning so it will do just fine. having a real expensive guitar wont make you a better player just remember that

depends if you're just starting out, i'd say if you had the money then maybe a mexican strat for like 2-3 hundred. But if you are lookin at a good long term investment you might want a guitar in the 1000 range. But by the sounds of you i'd get sumtin cheap

Have a JIBARITO!

i'd go to a used music shop and find a nice used one. the sound quality will be good if you buy a nice one, and you'll spend a lot less on it. and dont worry about scratches and dents. they dont affect the sound quality.

I must find the perfect spoon.

I may have been wrong...some stores will do deals with the Squire and amp included for 150 or something. Just shop around.

please please dont go by brand name, its all depends on what is your favorite sound and feel to a guitar. wht i have, is a Ibanez acoustic electric, which is awesome because i can play it wherever i want, and then plug it into an amp and use my wah wah pedal. dont stray away from used gear also, because it is just as good as new with a much, much smaller price tag. i bought a 5 year old, mint condition Ibanez for 125, when its original price was around 350. take my advice

New Skis:$400

New Boots:$300

New Outfit:$350

a squire bullet (by fender) is like 90 bucks. if you put in som good pickups you'll have a nice guitar

i hope harvey bans you just so i can piss on your digital grave.

ELECTRIC GUITAR IS THE SAME THING AS ACOUSTIC GUITAR.

i'm so sick of people saying 'well i play acoustic guitar and i want to learn electric next.' they are the same fucking instrument...and you can get a fender strat for like $300.

you still won't have a good guitar if you put in pickups. the guitar is made of cheap wood, which greatly effects the tone. also, the guitar plays like a hardened piece of dogshit and good pickups won't change that.

buy a malibu. I have one and I have yet to buy a nicer one now that I am more experianced but you should get a Malibu. they have a bit smaller necks, and they are like $200. they are a great beginner guitar too, since you won't be able to tell the difference between a nice one and a cheap one besides the way it looks.

if you play acoustic for a while it's easier to switch to electric... i started on an ibanez SA series for like 200 -- not a bad starter

custom orders ended Nov. 15 for this season, however there should be plenty of pre-mades. If you have any questions email me. Logic

all I can say is how much acoustic helps your skill. When I first started playing I learned blink 182 songs and simple powder chord stuff. I didn't progress for a while. but then I decided to pick up acoustic also because acoustic songs tend to have more exotic chords. and once I did I got WAY better so whatever you do learn some Tenacious D songs cause that's how I learned all the basic chords. by listening to them bicker at each other while they were song writing.

no dude get the guitar jimmy page played... vintage 1960 les paul sunburst and for an amp get a vintage 1959 marshal slp 500... that should cost you around... $260,000

You should always start off with an acoutic, and plus you can play everything on an eletric, with an acoustic. Plus an acoustic will get your fingers toughened up, and just make things easier in the future.
