Hey guys just looking for a little advice at the moment. I'm thinking about upgrading my computer soon, so I need help with ghz and ram. Basically what I'm looking for is something that can run Adobe Bridge and Photoshop (both CS4 if it makes a difference), a browser and iTunes all at the same time without freezing, glitching etc. What is the minimum of both ghz and ram that i should have? I have a TB hard drive, so hard drive isn't an issue.

Would a Macbook pro with 2GB ram and 2.26 ghz be sufficient? Overkill? or would 4GB and 2.26 be better? I'm not too bright when it comes to what these things mean.

i run a 2.5 ghz with 2 gigs of ram macbook pro and its a little sluggish with bridge cameraw/photoshop safair and ichat running

4gb wouldnt be a overkill

its kinda starting to become the new standard for ram

if i were you... i would buy the 2gb ram model and upgrade it youself... its alot cheaper

sssshhhhhaaaazzzaaammm... I have the pro tower upgraded to 4GB ram with the dual 2.66ghz processors, done deal

yes, but you don't NEED it. you can render final cut pro projects, and still work on other high demand programs on 2 gigs.

Don't waste your $100 or so until you find that programs are lagging enough to piss you off.

Ive got 2.4GHZ and 1Gb ram, i think i should upgrade to 2gb.

Anyone know any good cheap sites to buy ram?
