How much do you spend on poles? And how big are they?

Rental poles all the way! Well ex rental coz i own them. Free from the hills rental shop, relativly strong and if you break them just ask for another one. Easy as pie. Fuck paying 100 bucks for poles.

I have them a bit above wait high, short enough so they don't get in the way plus gooed for pole planting, makes you get down low in your turns.

went to the DI yesterday and picked up two pairs for a total of 9 bucks... a brand new (but vintage) pair of volkl 46" that are neon green with bright yellow grip and baskets and a pair of xcountry poles that are up to my nose (but they have the sickest pow baskets on them) that im gonna try to do something with

right now im on some 5$ poles, custom painted one white and one orange with my fav atomic grips ramed on

o ya there at my waist

thats if I ski with them

I spent $50 on some spicollis then snapped them in half falling on a five so now I use the cheapest poles I can find

i had some 2 dollar savers poles, but then i found some composite ones on level nine sports website, like 30 bucks. sick poles.

0 $ . right now im using some poles that are meant for a 5 year old racer , complete with protectors to punch gates. works well in the park , not complaining .

whenever i find a pair in the trash that looks potent , I grab them and stash them . I break a pair of poles a season approximately .

$40... 50 in

never buying poles again, i will either get then from the rental shop, or no pole

i have the green and orange scotts, but i didnt buy them, i won them in a contest. i would never pay for poles. before these i just stole poles from my mountain. i have them cut down so that if i stand with my arms straight down, the tips of my fingers barely touch the top of the poles.

i spent $13 on ploes 4 years ago and i cut them down to the size i wanted

i ski with them every day and i think i have gotten my moneys worth for sure

I think it is hella funny that all these kids with $600 dollar outerwear and $700 dollar skis are stealing rental poles. How core brah! Maybe if you were skiing in pant's that were 90 % ductape riding CMH surplus skis the stolen rental poles would fit but otherwise it looks dumb.

i think its hella funny that people say hella seriously.

paying for poles is dumb. end of story. if you ski like you should, they should almost break every year.
