So i bought new invaders this year and was given a set of 4FRNT deadbolts 614. had them mounted up but they set them at 7 din, i am 5'11" 135lbs with 7.5 boot size. is 7 too much?

there's never enough DIN

uhhm actually, i'd leave em. if they end up popping off when you dont want them to. turn em up. and vice versa. thats what i did

I think 7 is actually a pretty good setting for you, tight enough that they won't pop when you land a bit off balance, but loose enough that it should come off when you bail.

weighing 135 and going hitting kickers with dins of 14 or 15 is a recipe for disaster,

7 sounds right but you just have to find out what din you feel comfortable with

ski them, if they come off when u try to butter or just landing hard, turn the toe up to 8 and leave the back at about 7.25-7.5. if they still come off turn each up by a half at a time until ur secure. i wouldn't go any higher than 10 unless ur a really really good.

keep them where they are and if you feel like your straining your knee lossen it a little, if y think you are oming out when you should not tighten it up a half notch, and keep doing that untill it is perfect.

it seems that i set my din too low because i have a operation on my right thumb tomorrow because my ski hit it hard after a 7 with a nice landing but the binding released instead of holding my boot in - i have the 4frnt deadbolts 412 and i weigh about 170 - i set my din little bit over 9 - seems that i should go with a higher din!???

alright well this will be an experiment with the deadbolts then bc i have never riden with it set that high. (7)we will see!!

that sounds like its in the ball park. If the shop set it i would trust it. If you're really worried about it, turn it down to 6 and slowly crank them up until they don't prerelease.
