How much difference does binding weight make?

Just curious what people think. Deciding weather or not to put dukes(5.8lbs/pair) on my LL2s and was wondering if the weight of the dukes was worth the touring over getting a lighter alpine binding. Will be used a lot in park and the main point of getting them was a pow jib ski(which my 188(194) coombas are not too good at..). I know how popular look bindings are here and know they are heavy so thought i could get some good opinions. (for comparisons, dukes are 5.8, jesters 4.4, look px 12 5.16, look px 12 jib 5.64, Rossi SAS2 140 Ti Wide 6.0 to name a few)

To me, a extra pound or two isnt a huge deal. Im 185+lbs with all jacket, pants and boots on. Add on skis and bindings and im pushing 200. I have used so called 'light' bindings and 'heavy' bindings, and while I can feel a difference while carrying them. I dont feel any measurable difference while skiing. Whether I am jumping, spinning, switching up rails ect. If you are a lighter weight guy, you may feel the effects or a heavy ass bindings like a px18.

good to know, thanks. I like the contorl heavier bindings give but haven't had them on park skis. Any opinions saying light is much better?

for touring it makes all the difference, but for normal skis it feels nice when carrying them and shit but honestly while skiing on them it's not that noticeable

you've probably thought of this, but you could dukes on coombas (orgasmic combo), and jesters on LL2's. I'd rather not have a duke if I were doing any park with them. Your call though, but I highly recommend marker.

yah, already got a pair on the coombas. I use them when i have longer tours, but I was thinking if I was doing short tours around my resort it'd be nice to have the duke on the LL2's too.

nah if you have coombas put dynafirts on them, that's an epic combo, or check out the karhu bc 100, it's a prophet 100 with a chopped tail that skis the same but weighs like 2 lbs less per ski

hadn't seen those before, they seem great but I wish they came in a longer size(a 188 coomba is less than 1cm less than a 194 XXL). I didn't get dynafits because I wanted something more durable, since the coombas are also my ski to use when its going to be icy or if i expect a lot of week old avy debree getting in the way
