How messed up can people be

Did anyone else see the video of those 3 kids (AKA 3 guys 1 hammer)? One of the most disturbing video ever, worst than decapitation or any other torture vids. I felt very bad the whole day when I saw it.

The majority of you have been sheltered by city folks. Last summer i was longboarding alone in the morning in my town and i hit a rock and speed wobled badly and fell and broke my collar bone, i asked a tourist if they could give me a hand and he just walked right past me. My town has a huge tourist problem(industry) and they are for the most part assholes, they all come up from NYC and think that customs in the city are the same in a small village.

This is crazy though a guy actually understood he was dead and just walked away to smell him rot

i'm curious as to what kind of situation you stepped into to help someone being attacked and got fucked by the cops?

I'm going to assume that someone was fighting or in danger, you jumped in without thinking and started throwing fists around, cops showed up and booked you for assault. thats not how you go about resloving a heated situation, thats the problem. you dont have to bust ass to help someone in trouble, it's actually more effective to use your brain. You run in there and let everybody know the cops are on there way and that they should stop fighting, and you don't strike unless necessary, instead you defend and retreat when possible leaving the rest to the people who get paid to deal with that shit (po-lice).

hotshot.

The bystander effect states that a person is less likely to "get involved" if they are surrounded by a lot of people, so this isn't really the bystander effect since it was just one or two people passing by themselves.

That makes it more fucked up though.

This is fucked up. I usually don't get bothered hearing about tragic deaths and all that. Life comes, life goes. People die early, that happens. BUT this says more. This man was a hero, and people somehow felt that their own lives and issues are more important than his life? There was literally no consequence of calling the cops/ambulance. And where was the lady that he saved?
Can people honestly not appreciate another person's life enough to take a minute of their time to save it? Even if they were self-centered, the feeling of saving a life should be more than enough motivation to do something. We're living in scary times if people can honestly pass by this and not do anything...

Dunno why this made me so mad, but yeah. Rant over.
