Well I've only skied 8 times this year. I used poles one time. They didn't break.
Before two seasons ago I used poles everyday, and the past three season(this one included) I've gone 50/50.
What I'm getting at is, I've broken one pair of poles in all my years. I've been using the same pair for alomst 5 years now. They're going to break in the next 10 times. They've been bent and tweaked so many times, and re-strightened, they're bound to break on the next big bend.
ive broken quite a few pairs. once a snowboarder lost control and flew out of the pipe board first into my knee, directly through my pole. i was pissed but the jackass just rode off laughing at me.
first pair of poles since last season, i taped them up all rasta colors so i cant really tell if theyre broken or not but who cares theyre 5 dollar poles
wow...hmm ok i had some random ones when i was younger that i dont remember but in recent history.. i broke 3 sets of poles in one season.. i have had 2 pairs stolen.. and then i bought a pair of goode poles..the composite kind... and i absolutely love them...il probably never get any poles besides the composite ones tha flex for the rest of my life...i got them mad cheap too
I broke at least 4-5 pairs last season. This season I broke 3 pairs already, one pair which was the carbon fiber shit that i had only used 6 times. Then the second was the rental pair I got after i broke my carbon ones. The dude wasnt too happy.
I broke two poles when learning to land switch and several years ago. I would land with my poles pointed down hill and they would catch every once in a while and I'd fall backwards on them. Haven't broke any since then.
when i broke my ribbs i broke my poles but that was like 4 years ago and i have had the same onse since then, they are all bent up and shit, but they still work
