I did it, and I'm gonna DJ prom this year too. I got my powerhouse toshiba, a couple pv speakers and a dope lighting set up with gel changers, source 4s, and a 144 channel insight express.Using Virtual DJ as the software

So Guitar Center, Musicians Friend, zZounds, Midwest Pro Audio and Lighting are all ghetto ass places? Both speakers have 1" titanium drivers. Matrix 1000 can hit highs, mids, and lows with out distortion due to having 2 satellites and a sub where as running only 2 loud speakers could cause distortion and cut outs at higher volumes. Im not bashing on JBL as they are a indutry standard its just not what I need for what I'm doing.

Similar to what I do. Just been doing parties for people really but been using a shitty numark m2 mixer and busting off my ipod since I don't have a laptop. Ordered 1 Kustom Kpc12 for now seeing as I have no cash. Would like to upgrade to some nicer gear but that won't happen until I get a job
