Hey folks, just curious how many of you ride too? Please, close-minded dicks, restrain from ruining my thread with your anti-board numbskullery.

Everybody to the limit!

i have, but i broke my wrist so it scares me...fun as shit though

''Are you mankind or kind of a man?''

''There's no fruit on the tree without the roots.''

Yeah, I broke my wrist a few years ago riding, and the year before that tramping, last year it was merely a broken thumb from Marquis de Sading myself.

i snowboard when i hurt my hands or feets... or when my ski are broken...

Niormally i use my boss skis but when i break them too, i snowboard, really fun sport, but kinda scary to have yare feet kept together.

i've gone once. it was really easy if you ask me.

Its kinda like pissin on the guy in the stall next to you, just to see if he notices, or pissin on a proper female at a party, or even pissin in some dudes butt in the shower. We've all done it for fun. -lokash

A mate of mine has the same size shoes as me so we swap over every now and then. Its quite fun, wouldn't ever drop skiing for it though.

Freshies for a week after a dump? Temple Basin - Hell Yeah!

For sure. Boarding is rad. Wish I had more time to do it. There's no better way to do short-hike day trips in the backcountry than with a board and snowshoes.

i snowboarded once and i could carve the first dayt, it was pretty easy but when i go to a mountain im not gonna waste my time learnin to snowboard, i do snowskate sometimes though i like doin shit in my yard and other urban shit on snowskates

I used to snowboard for a good 5 years, but then i realized skiing is where its at and switched back.

Markers don't suck!

Damn straight, things are happenin' in the midwest!

Yeha, I'm the same as Jibmaster. I skied when I was little, then snowboarded for like 5 years, then came back to skiing. I still go up and teach my friends to snowboard every once in a while. I try to convince them to ski, but most are girls who wouldn't be able to stand up on skis if their life depended on it.

you bet your ass skiing is harder than snowboarding.

i was doing 180s off jumps my second day, and shredding like your mommy.

i am guilty of enjoying snowboarding, i was hucking myself into powder landings my second day, it was fun as shit

THE SPRINKLER: get butt naked and then do a 1260 while taking a piss, i expect this trick to win many comps this coming season.

This thread proves that skiers have a better to toward snowboarders than snowboarders toward skiers.

There is now, snow in the mountains here in Utah!!

i once was told that skiing was easier to learn, but harder to master, and snowboarding was harder to learn but way easier to master. anyone else find this to be true?

Well I agree with the last comment, b/c snowplowing aka the wedge is damn easy, but when you snowboard for the first time, you get a sore, cold ass. But by the 2nd, 3rd day you are still in the wedge but carving on the snowboard. Anyways I give my friend my my skis and he gives me his board and it great. Except for the fact that I can boardslide while he is all over the place (haha got the better end of the deal), but its always a good time.

I think snowboarding is easer then skiing, my freind and I made a bet about what was harder so he gave me his snowboard(cause i used to snowboard a few years ago) I found it easy to spin but I would eather land on my head or land on the board and catch a edge, snowboarding is easer all except for actully landing shit...

Me:You should give me all your money so I can bye the new scratchs

Myles: Why would I want to do that,

Me: If you do I'l let you ride them

Myles: I snowboard

Me: o shit, well I could ummmm.... let you masturbate to the grafics

Myles: o great...

yeah i think if you took any given skier and any given snowboarder and made them switch, i think the skier could smoke the boarder's ass just cuz it's really awkward to jump on skis for the first time, and you have to get used to the whole binding release deal.

skiing is better than skiiing by far. i tried it before i started skiing and realized that it was stupid, so now i ski, and im glad i do.

I do both! Why only do one if you can do both? I also find that snowboarding improves my balance for skiing big time. I love skiing way more though.

one fun thing with snowboard is that you can just go out in your backyard and build a small quarter and have fun, because its so easy to jump quarters with snowboard. But with skis the QP:s have to be more perfect to be able to jump and land in it. So i like snowboard in that way, and its easier to get it look more stylie because theres no skis that can waving around. But I like skiing a lot more tough!

snowboarding is heaps good, alot to be learned from that sport, but I also agree on the respect thing, we respect them heaps give them props when they do mad stuff but I find that a boarder wont give you anything unless he is one of your mates.

ever wonder if iliterate people get the full effect of alphabet soup???

I skied for 5 yrs, than boarded for 5 years, now back to both for the past two, grant you I've been skiing a cinsiderable amount more. The reason I started again was because I was sick of the hiphop punk ass ghetto attitude in the parks that boarders were spitting out, however, now I find that skiing and skiers are following alot of the same roots. So this year I'm taking up snowblading as I don't think there is too much attitude in the whole sport plus it looks like fun. And to irefusetodie or whateverthefuckyournameis, everything is a trend.....

Or maybe my trunk will be too large and fellas such as your self enrolled in the local sync program will grow up never feeling like real men.

yeah zachd that is right, i tell that to all of my friends and theyre like nooo cause ive been snowboarding for 2 years and i cant carve, so i was like well you suck

Hey Lane what's going on?? you must have been pulling my leg when you indicated that skiing wasn't your field of expertise and you seemed more interested in the ladys on the site. At any rate I think snowboarding or riding has been a huge boost to the ski industry where as skiing hasn't really done anything for snowboarding. I think that is where alot of the conflict begins, not to mention it seems two different economic levels are at play in the same backyard hense more conflict. I love seeing the riders on the hill helping keep the costs bearable for working stiffs such as my self. I wish somebody would come up with a way for the boaders to load and unload from the lift easier and ride the chair more comfortably. I have been ditched in the dirt(er snow) a couple of times with a rider trying to unload, they were very apologetic for the mishap. I think everybody should enjoy the snow whether on blades boards or stixs, just be polite and smile alot.I would give riding a shot but I'm middle aged fat and balding.

don't forget limp-dicked and ugly....haha kidding man... good points made. Love your other man and the brother man!

i snowboarded while i raced for about 7 years. i then went back to skiing cuz snowboarding turned gay!

i'm gonna give this whole snowboarding thing another try this winter. i'd definitly be a snowboarder right now if i wasn't ok at skiing.

I snowboard and don't ski, but I go up with mostly skiers it's tight. The last 2 years I've wanted to try skiing again, but never did it yet, maybe this year I'll put on some stix. I used to do it 5 years ago. Is it going to still be pretty easy to get down the hill or hard? Oh well, either way it's going to be tight.

Western Militia for sure

i do it every once in a while just for a good laugh

you shouldn't NOT do something just because it has turned 'mainstream' .Do it because that's what interests you. Skiing is a good time, so is snowboarding. I've been skiing my whole life, but i don't know which i would start up with if i had never done either before.

I skiied for about 5 years, then snowboarded for about 5, and last season i started skiing on my friends boards again a couple of times, and got it back like nothing. 360's on the first day (looked shitty, but it wasn't hard), and got myself a pair of candides, and this year im ready to go almost all skiing.

Snowboarding is fun I do a lot of other board sports also Wakeboard,Wakeskate, Snowskate, Stateboard. Skiing is about the only thing I do facing forward, or backward.

iused to snowboard but i trailed off and came t my senses......

EC-WC its all good--

I switched to snowboarding about 6 years ago because skiing got boring (this was before twins were readily available). Now I'm back to skiing, but it's all new-school TELEMARK skiing. If there is one thing I appreciate about snowboarding, it's the lessons in balance you learn. I don't need poles when on an alpine set-up anymore for anything. Not so sure about telemarking though... anyway, I may get a teleboard also just for some fun, odd days when I don't feel like free-heeling
