I sent my skis out about a month and half ago and just got them back today... which is redicules service!!! I finally get them back and they didnt warrenty them because they said it was abuse... which is hard to believe seeing that its not like the delam isnt under my boot, where most abuse (aka rail abuse happens) its like 6 inches back from my heel piece... iam mad! just expressin some freedom of speech about Salomon and how nicely they treat their customers, the skis are alright but iam def. not recommending Salomon's or skiing on Salomons again!

that sucks dude. K2 is sending me a new pair of public enemies.

i was grinding a rail and the heel of my binding shot off when i landed.

so go K2........

write a letter then print it off 100 times, send one every day until they reply , thats what my bro did and they fixed him up with a new pair...keep in mind that was rossignol, salomon is a different story....true to the movement? bull shit

same thing happened to me my race skis from rossingal broke while in couse like 3 1/2 months ago and they have been ass holes the whole time so when i get skis i am selling them and never useing anything from them again.

MidWest is the shit

Fuck the ghetto

do you think that i could get my k2's warrantied cause they got a gash under the boot and eventually the edge fell off, party because of sliding rails, but they arent even a year old yet

sucks, i've heard of a lot of stories where salomon has skis that delaminate, i'd go to the store where u bought em and ask if they can help u get a hold of the rep, i find the reps are pretty nice and if ur really nice to em then they'll do what they can.

Just say fuck it and huck it!

I bent my atomics back in april in a gnarly fall, i sent them to the factory and they had a new pair back to me in 3 weeks, the 2003 pair too.

I love salomon skis but I've personally broke two pairs of crossmax's (split to tips in half) one was my own pair the other was a rental shops I used to work at. And my boss there broke three pairs himself I know your not suppose to jump crossmax's on the park but still they didnt even hold up a month of me buying them. couldnt get warranty because I bought them on vacation and they were 700$ off (1200 retail bought for 500) anyway salomon rep came to my mountain and was a dick about it. Also Rossignol Axium 100 bindings are totally shit I mounted them on the 1080's I bought at end of this season and I've broke them 4 times same thing everytime. Ejecting switch the brakes stick in the ground and rip themselves out of the rear binding piece. and it seems like no dealers stock replacement parts for bindings. fuck rossi bindings.

yeah dude the axium bindings suck, broke twice in like a 6 day period of ski days, but rossi got me new ones real quick. not a park binding tho

you guys are both fucking retards for putting that binding on a freeride ski anyway. that binding is ment for old grandmas who want to shed some weight, not for jibbers. just spend the extra 50 bucks and get the axial/pivot bindings, i can personaly garentee that they will hold up better then any of the axiam series.

Salomon 1080's only have 1 year warrenty and then if u mount the Salomon binding u get a 2 year warrenty... My skis started delaminating about mid season... and they treated me like shit taking my skis away for over a month and half, and then sending a notice that they were refused, they didnt even add a comment on why they werent warrentied... I *DONT* recommend Salomon to anyone!!!

i'm glad i just got K2, knowing that they have a great warranty. I gotta question. My friend's Line Darksides (the 01-02 ones) are delaminating bad in both tails, if he sent them in, would he get a new pair?

lineskis thats the deal i got with my rossi skis and bindings, it was affordable and i got a two year warranty...the only difference is that rossi has decent warranties, but saloman on the other hand...

Heres the deal on warranty for the most part there are some exceptions.

If its a current new model ski or a ski prone to problems that the company has improved on with the same model then they will usually warranty it or if the ski completely breaks.

If your ski is not a current model or is abused or a few seasons old too bad even if you have had the ski less than a year.

yea, heres another little tip too, if you have axcess to a shop that tunes, have your skis tuned before you send them back. This is because if the warrenty department sees that your bases are compleatly fucked up(trashed to the point when they know that you really dont care about them anymore) they wont warrenty them, yet if you were to tune them up, they would see that you dont hammer on your skis and mabey the warrenty issue is more of a fluke. I have seen it happen a couple of times. its just that park skiers in genral beat on there skis alittle more.

I had pocket rockets, used them for about 10 days before they snapped under the heel, sent them to salomon, they sent them back sticking me with a $50 shipping fee, I got on the phone and yelled, they didnt listen, got my dad on the phone, he yelled, they listened and are gonna replace the skis. they were gone for about a month the first time and its been about five weeks now and still no word.

Yelling at them is only gonna get em pissed off for the most part, you'll never intimidate them because they're probably talking to you from another country.

Talk to a bunch of different people if you can because eventually you'll find someone that can help you. Remember this: they don't work for you, they work for the ski company, try to act understanding so they'll help you, and make sure your shop is behind you.

Anybody who bikes here, will tell you how hard it is to get stuff warrentied in the bike industry and these are tips that have helped my buddies and I and they translate for just about any sport. As long as you are persistent and polite you should get your warrentied skis back faster.

i got me some nice shiney new pistols from k2. took about 3 or 4 weeks but they were really backed up in the warrenty dept but they sent them right out after i called them. Havings easily breakable skis isnt that bad - by the time your skis start gettin scratched up you can get new ones for free
