How many people are out?

Just wondering who all is missing the season this year due to big injuries.

i seem to be running into a lot of people who say they're out because of knees or other shit.

i broke my tail bone last year overshooting.

but yea i seem to get injured every 4-5 years or so. hahaa (knocks on computer desk)

i was just out for 6 weeks and now i cant ski park til april. im kinda over the whole crying about being injured thing though whatever.

Every time I've gone out in the last 3 and a half weeks, I've hurt myself in some way. Not major, but enough to put me out for a few days. I've sprained my ankle 4 times, done something to my shoulder 3 times, I have knee problems so I can't really ski anything thats not powder or not constantly stressing my knees, and yesterday I got a concussion. I've been able to ski about 1/3 of the time I've wanted to in the past 3 and 1/2 weeks. Seriously, this suck so much more than you can imagine, because I've hurt myself almost every day I've skied. And now I can't ski family day weekend. Its a five day weekend for me, and I'm stuck doing nothing. I would honestly rather have some kind of ridiculous injury that I can actually talk about, but all I get is minor stuff that builds up so I can't ski.

have not skid since i snapped my acl, tore my mcl and cartalige in July, but friday im picking up my new pow skis, and flying to austria. Saturday im skiing. You have no idea how pumped i am!

Just had surgery on my broken collar bone on friday, a plate and 8 screws, lm out for likely the whole year, but i'm pushing for some spring skiing if i'm lucky.

spitting mad pity game at the ladies.
haha no basically i'm surfing NS, tryin to teach myself how to knit, and working on long ignored schoolwork. I only have the flu though so i should be back by friday.

i think i broke my thumb cause i smashed it between the handle of my pole and a box and did it again the next day and it hurts like fuck but im just letting it heal. im not sure if its broken though

im pretty sure i broke my thumb last year towards the end of the season my whole hand was pretty much black and blue. i found if i wrapped it alot and used gauze as padding for mysecond knuckle near my palm it helped it not hurt holding on to a pole as much

i had that happen last year, but it was a gnarly high speed crash. my face was like gone and broken thumb. i didn't know it was broken till it already almost healed though. it hurt but it was aight.

my knee exploded begininng of dec, got surgery and need another surgery in april. I can still ski but it hurts like hell. I did a 270 onto a butter box the other day and that is like the sickest trick ive done in the last two months haha

just resprained my ankle on saturday after being out for a month before that. this stupid injury is turning out to be more of a bitch than a broken bone!

I've been out since Christmas because of knee surgery. I'm hoping to try a few groomers this weekend, but I'll have to see where the knee is by then.

And what have I done with all the spare time? Well, I've been slowly going insane. Not that skiing would have prevented that.

I decked it in the pipe late january and seperated my AC(something in your shoulder) as well as completely tearing some ligaments. Able to ski lightly soon but wont be in the park till sometime in march. But its all good to kick back and log in some time on NS.

broke a chunk off my scapula after landing on some rocks - 5 weeks. looking for a spine guard now.

sucks man, im very glad i have not done anything to my knee this year, even with 3 broken bones throughout the season already, i will still be skiing before you. not to rub it in

i hit a mogul under some powder double ejected and flew forward hitting my collor bone on another mogul.

i got a plate in my shoulder and the pain meds have made me constipated, now im relying on medicinal marijuana to get me through

torn acl maybe mcl too not sure yet im going back to the doctor in a wk to see whats up prolly surgery soon im sad, scared and in pain haha ns helps a loot tho hope you all have a fast healing injuries suck

Torn ACL, 3rd blown up knee, along with a broken ankle.

In the last 5 seasons, Ive been healthy 1 full season.... shit sucks.

haha o man bro we're living the same life right now. I've got the plate and constipation as well, I took myself off the percoset cuz I felt so awful when I was on it. What'd your break look like?

dislocated shoulder a couple weeks back. im gonna start riding again in 2 weeks with a shoulder brace and probably start park again in a month.

Did a 3 in the pipe, clipped the deck coming down and landed in the flats directly on my shoulder, 13 ft to ice. Broke the top part off of my humerus, had to get put back together with screws, and i also fucked my rotator cuff(sp). Go back in 4 weeks to see the doc, hopefully I'll be back out for spring break.

I knuckled a jump (embarrassing straight air just to get a feel for speed) and it launched me forward onto my collar bone. It broke into three pieces The piece coming out of my shoulder blade fell down and forward, the middle piece was about an inch and was completely vertical and then the part coming out of my spine was fine. After i did it i skied down the hill and could feel it moving and shit...which is wierd as hell. I was pissed when they told me I had to have surgery or else my shoulder would be like "permanently curved and have life long repercussions" haha, this shit sucks though hurts like a bitch you in the sling and body wrap?

Last year tore my acl and i think also my mcl. cant really remember and now monday got a surgery and cant do anything for 3 months

i broke my collar bone back in mid january it was a gnarly break, its finally starting to set and im basically done for the season, maybe some spring groomer skiing or something

torn right acl, torn right lateral meniscus, torn right medial mensicus, and microfracture surgery in right femur
