When i was little around 7 or 8 I would rather hang out with my friend than go ski. My parents would drag me up to the mountain all the time. I really appreciate them making me go because i beciae addicted at age 11. i cant even imagine life without skiing now.

can't say i did, before i started skiing i was unopionated about the sport, since i started i've been all for it

There were definitely times when I was like 10-13 when I didn't want to get up early and go skiing. That feeling always disappeared as soon as I was on the snow though.

i used to snowboard and i used to think skiing was the most ridiculous thiong ever then one day my dad finally convinced me to ski with him and i havent touched a snowboard since and its my addiction

When I was 3 or 4 I hated skiing. I used to say "I hate my skis" whenever I fell. Now I love it. Things change.

ya I used to snowboard too and i thought skiing was so gay, then as soon as i tried skiing i loved it! Every chance i had to get off my snowboard and click in to some skis i took it. I finally bought some Shitty mike nick pro models for 50 bucks and i havent touched a snowboard since

Never disliked skiing. I tried snowboarding at three years old and i hated having to strap in and strap out so i tried skiing the next day and i've been doing it ever since

i hated skiing so much when i was like 3 or 4....i would cry and scream all day long, and hide from my ski instructors...but then i quit skiing for a few years, and now skiing is my life

I used to hate skiing when i fell, when i was learning, which happened a lot because i was one of those kids who was wayyyyy out of control, but when i wasnt falling I loved it.

i fell in love with skiing as soon as i started. once i tried snowboarding and hated it. then again and hated it. and again learned how to do it and its not so bad. but skiing is wwwaaaayy way way way waywya better. IMO.

well i used to snowboard, and disliked most skiers until i realized what it really was. now i respect it and love it. couldnt imagine going back to a board ever

haha word. when i was like 5-6 just learning i would fall and pick up my skis and throw them and say i hated them and stuff. then i quit turning for an entire 20 days when i was 6, didn't think i needed it. had a gnarly crash to face burn and decided my skis were broken and i hated skiing.

but i never hated it enough to quit, plus my cousin did it so if i wanted to be cool like him i had to ski.

I never even considered skiing because, i knew very little about it until school ski club started.

haha same here, I was trying to remember when I didin't like it as much and I really can't.

skiing is the best thing that could ever happen to me

i always loved skiing iv been skinig since i was 2 but prob around age 9-13 i snowboarded to but i always skied more and it wasnt until i learned how to ski in the park when i completely dropped snowboarding

i learned how to ski when i was 13, on a winter break. after the break, my dad asked me if i wanted to go again, and i said yea, but i really didnt want to. I went that day, and it's safe to say that that was one of the most influential decisions of my life.

not to mention I have my dad saying "Hey I was thinking maybe we would go skiing this weekend?" on tape. Awsome

i;m not gonna lie, when i was like 9, i quit skiing for two years but then when i was 11 i finally got jeleaous of my bro because i would always have to stay home and do chores and he would go skiing. so i started back skiing again when i was 12.

I grew up watching old warren miller movies when I was 4 and taking out the skis when there was frost on the ground. I have been addicted my whole life.

I hated race training for a while, then I'd race and it was fun again, then we'd ditch and go build a kicker, and then I finally quit racing and skiing was fun again. Now I get back into races for the hell of it and it's all fun to me...I just hate doing moguls and that's it. My knees will die on my by the time I'm 25

IM ADDICTED TO TWO THINGS:

1. PAINKILLERS

2. SKIING

IVE ALMOST COMPLETELY KICKED THE PAINKILLER HABIT, BUT I WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO STOP SKIING, NOR WILL I EVER TRY

its ok, i had it coming. it seemed necessary, cause thats how passionate i am about skiing. ive been in and out of almost every sport because either my brother was better than me and my coaches wouldnt let me put him in his place, or my coaches thought i was too physical. the only exception being footbal, but i destroyed my shoulders and ankles playing, so that ended.

if you ever hated skiing your not a true skier. and are just one of the many jumping on the bandwagon...

heres to the og mogul days.. rippin on skinny skis, pre moesley it was all about JLB, Edgar, Seugei Shapretsov, Jesper Ronnebeck, Janne Lahtelah, Seth, KEnt and Mckonkey, Andrew ShepardDean cummings and Jason more and the rest of the k2 facorty team...

Rippin through the terrain park and getitng chased by snowboarders and hitting them pith a pole or 2,...

skiing was better then.. more about fun... less about throwin up gang signs and wearing Tall t's that are quad x l when your 5foot nothing.. and wearing rags in BARS....(homos)

Degenaerates and skiings last stand, then onto still to this days most progessive ski flick royalty..

Days of clothing companies like sms,BFA, Moxie, Fate and og rip curl shit..

Skiing and surfing are the original Action sports... and skiing was always the coolest sport in the world.. just casue people wore fleuro dont mean shit...

Cork 3's in 93 anyone?? KEnt kreitler... 95 TOm costa (carve true cork 3's)

78 John Eves fakie flare (while being chased in the james bond movie her majisteys secret service)

Frank Bare 84.. tripple twisting quad backflip of a BC booter...

Skiing has always with surfing been the crazyest , coolest sport out...if you thought it wasnt kool at any point... you just wernt in the KNOW...

hehe. Degenerates was one of my favorite movies. It's pretty much what got me officially stoked on skiing. It was so new and so awesome in those days. That might have been 7th grade for me possibly? And I still wear a Fate jacket that I got like 10 years ago now. Still have a Fate bumpersticker that I never took off too. Does Fate still make clothing?

when i was 3 i was terribly afraid of the t-bar, i freaked out.

i grew up on labrador where you get a fair amount of powder do i hated trying to navigate through snow as deep as i was tall.

once i grew a little i started loving it.

Haha you are so far off on that statement.

I went skiing when I was like 5 with my family and had a decent time. then i didn't do anything on the snow until I was like 12-13 when some of my friends started snowboarding. i joined in with them because who doesn't know this, snowboarding is eXtreme!!1!!!!!111!1!one!!1!1!. but then once high school rolled around my sister had joined the ski team and i followed in her footsteps. I hated skiing at first but just did it as a way to get out at the hill on weeknights and stuff. but throughout that first year skiing grew onto me and i enjoyed hitting jumps on my skis rather than my board. At that point i decided i didn't want to snowboard anymore. I also didn't know that you could hit rails on skis or anything about newschool skiing when i decided to start skiing.

So with your comment you are saying im not a "true skier" because i didn't fall in love with it on day #1. You're wrong. I hardly jumped on the "bandwagon".

I got hooked the st day on a pair of olin straight skis, but then i saw a kid doing fun shit on snowblades so i bought myself a pair because i didn't know about newschool skiing and then scubasteeze converted me to the big leagues and i'll never look back haha. fuckin' snowblades. so embarassing.

I remember always loving it, getting up to the mountain as much as possible.

...But I was afraid of black diamonds until grade 6

haha dude i was the same way!! i hated when my parents made me go skiing. and i was always happy when the season was over

I have never disliked skiing at all and I started off with cross-country skiing cause its all my parents have ever done. I remember me and my bro convinced my mom to take us downhill and I think we have only been on 1 cross country trip since.

i never did. been in love with it since i was like 3 giggling and falling on greens at steamboat with my dad. apparently when i was little i thought falling was fun lol.

The only time I ever hated skiing was when my dad first took me up the hill to teach me
there was this small slope at cypress just before the lifts, perfect for a beginner, and he taught me there
But obviously, no lift though, and I was wining and bitching about having to hike this tiny ass hill to slide down it, and do it all over again.

After that though, anything was a go, black diamonds, hiking a little to powder stashes, I'd do anything

then I had to quit skiing when hockey got a little competitive and the schedule was ridic
But since I quit league hockey for skiing, skiing's all I do now and I think I'm putting on weight just sitting here waiting for snow...

when i was about 7 i went up the chairlift and when down the hill full speed, crashed, and cried and lied on the end of the hill screaming that i hated skiing and never wanted to do it again. then my mom told me to get up and i did. and now i love skiing
