i work at this resort that just recentyl started some shit that you need to work the whole day to get a one day ticket to ski. That would leave me only a couple of crowded hours on weekends to ski when everything is all icy. How do you hardcore illegall skiiers get away without getting caught??? I tried last year with out of date lift ticket and got a 250$ fine. Give me good ones.

thats fucking retarded, you work for a mtn but dont get a pass. fuck that.

on other terms, im thinking of scanning my pass and changing it to liftee so i get discounted food

wow so they wont just give you a season pass for working there? that's ridiculous. I guess if that's the case just buy a season pass, they're always worth it all you need to do is get a few days each month to pay them off usually, if not less. at least that's how I think of it, as far as I'm concerned I bought season passes for like the first 5 days this year and can ski for free the rest of the year, not a bad deal.

Do whatever it takes not to get caught, like if a mountain safety guy asks for your ticket fly down down the hill and get your ass outta there. If he chases you to the bottom, pull out a knife, home made shank, or broken beer bottle. When he sees that you are will to kill for skiing he will understand and let you pass.

thats weird that they dont give you a pass for working there though. i work at a teaching company on my mountain and i get a seasons pass for 50 bucks. but you should still buy one

i forgot my pass so many times last season, so i just slipped under the radar all day instead of taking time to get a temporary ticket

chucknutsdarail better not be a snitch, im not givin up our moves but i can say weve skeemed about 400+ thus far this season already...... n if u cant get creative to get on just pull hey buddies, mad ppl ski til like 11:30 call it a day n will give up their ticket if u are nice n shit

dude just fucking dont get caught its easy on my mountain. u just ski over look around and slip under the rope for christ sake, and ski like hell. rip in peace

haha this is ridiculous

i have to teach something like 12 lessons to get one ticket. you work at a mountain, and if you're an instructor, quit the bitchin! you are going to be out there getting paid to shred! what could be better?

but if youre a lifty or something i guess i can understand your frustration

BUT. trying to ski without a lift ticket is lame. just pay..

If your working for a mountain you should be getting either a free seasons pass or at least a heavily discounted one.

friend's season pass + resort that doesn't scan + photoshop = money

never tried it but I've always wanted to. Just laminate it and keep it inside a pass pocket or something....

i havnt deliberately tried to ski without one but my mountain is so chill that if its a hot day and you take your jacket off with your pass in it you can ski the rest of the day without it and no one will give a shit about it.

yeah just sit near one of the exits and wait for people that look like they dont give a shit and be like hey if youre done could i get your ticket and if they say no be like oh ill give you 5 bucks 5 bucks is better than nothing.

oh wow i do too! i thought nobody did that anymore tho

its not like you haveta go to a resort to have fun skiing and if youre too cheap for a snowmobile then hike it up into the backcountry

ha ha yeah note my name..... here in MN we are kinda hurting for mountains and B/C but i ski for free in my backyard, o wait it cost me about 200$$$ for all my rails and stuff...

but im fine with paying for skiing because its "super extreme"

My hill is sweet because we have guaranteed hours for teaching.

It is owned by the college and we offer ski and snowboard classes for PE credit. Same time every week and you have to show up to get credit. Plus for all the elementary schools/middle schools in the area the kids get to ski once a week for two hours for 100 bucks (including rental). It is a sweet deal because you show up and know you are going to get hours. I have to teach 45 hours to get a free season pass. It is easy to get too.

Plus I work in the rental shop, which you get half price season passes and usually free food.

but seriously just pay to ski. If you are going to be going a lot get a season pass. A lot of the time you only have to ride for 15 days and it is paid off. Plus when you feel tired you can just go home instead of still riding because the day pass cost so much. helps to avoid getting hurt.

sucks for you. i get a free pass for working at my mtn. and even when i volunteered for a few hours before i worked there they gave me a free pass. also i get guarunteed hours/pay. if a class doesn't show up i still get payed, just to ski!

last season I was almost arrested (no joke) for trespassing when I was using one of my friends passes.

-find a more low key mountain that doesn't check passes regularly (especially on weekdays and all nights they're open; usually the lifties are too stoned and cold to give a shit about leaving their hut)

-if you go to college "near"  (within 1 day's driving distance) a mountain, become a "college rep" which gets you a free pass and a good reference and you get paid with a free pass and employee discount

-OR, find a rich friend with a pass you can borrow that he/she doesn't use and mildly resembles you (as long as you have mirrored goggles and are the same gender.

all 3 have worked for me 100% successfully so far.

yeah ive managed to keep my backyard pretty cheap but i lucked out since we redid our kitchen and knocked down some walls this fall so there was lots of scrap wood lying around

last year people were doing that a bunch and if you had one in a pass pocket the lifty would go up and feel it.

before i realized why it was kind of creepy..

just buy a pass!

i got up with 4 friends. we buy 2 passes and split the cost. two of us ride the lift one skis down with both passes and gets the next person up. then we do it again. then we ski the backside all day where they dont check tickets.

if you really don't want to buy a pass, and your place doesn't scan your tickets when you go up, then you could try grabbing one of those cincher things that you attach your ticket to your jacket with and say you fell and your ticket ripped off

they might ask you to get a new one tho, but hey it might be worth a try
