How many of you guys or ladies...

this thread is fucking stupid.... dont rant about parents buying their kids there ski shit when your parents bought you a house (going by what other people said).

and p.s i buy all my own shit

i don't think so.

i think if you expect these things, and demand them, with little to no appreciation, then you're spoiled

but if you're parents buy you things and you really appreciate it and respect it, doesnt mean your spoiled necessarily, imo

thats a good point, but your parents are still spoiling you when they buy you everything, because appreciative or not you still don't have to work for anything, which in my mind is part of being spoiled.

how did we get off the subject of the OP's parents bought him a house??! last time i checked my house caust wayyy more than my ski gear "spoiled bitch"

being spoiled is an attitude.. some kids get skis on skis and dont act spoiled..some kids get hardly anything and act spoiled..

think about it... will you buy your kids skis?

I intend to buy my kids any single thing they want as far as outdoor activities go.

As for tv's, computers, video games, i will make them pay double.

fair game?

then again, i do sometimes wish my parents would buy me skis.

good point, but if my kid asks for a snowboard I would be hesitant at first, then disown him. Nah, it's all in fun. As long as my kid loves either of the 2 I'll be happy. No, but seriously I would disown him.

Its not the fact that some kids parents buy them stuff... that's fine.

But the ungrateful bastards that have to buy the best of everything, just to beat you, then brag lots about it. I dont like that..

^This

If something costs like for example 250, I ask my parents to pay the 50 and I pay the 200.

Except for my skis, atleast they are really 100% mine!!

I feel ya. i pay for all my shit and they know it to. but it's not there fault cause i switch sports a lot so they never wanna invest a bunch right away until they know i'll stick with it soo yeah.

how does it make f.e my little bro ,who actually isnt allowed to work because hes to young, spoiled if my parents pay for his skis and his gear. Im also not spoiled just because my parents give me always a small amount of money to the things i buy. for example my jacket. everyone needs a jacket...

but that doesnt mean im spoiled...i work hard that i can buy things...

my parents bought me my ski stuff. but its as a "christmas present". im paying like 400 dollars for my season lift ticket. plus i gotta save for college expenses so they understand.
to me, the kid is spoiled based on how grateful and appreciative he is for the stuff and exactly how much stuff they kid. like new skis every year? thats a little much

my parents buy me ski gear...for crhistmas

most of my shit i paid for with my money that i earned working all four years in hs

I pay my own shit. I say my parents is my sponsor and support. They like my hobby because you stay out of trouble .

I pay my shit.

My parents sometimes buy me things.

tbh, i think most parents have bought us something for the sport we love.

my parents buy me ski stuff for Christmas or birthday and the lift pass.

but i also work 3 days a week and got to school cause i want to own some dough myself.

but i spend 3/4 of my earnings on ski stuff haha.

we gotta keep it real :D

i would say that's definitely a part of it but the main idea of being spoiled imo is not being grateful for what they're buying you

so youre saying that if you had a kid, you wouldnt buy them anything? i know when im older i would love to be able to supply my kids with whatever they want.

haha seriously. they dont buy me ski stuff but id be so down if they wanted to. like someone said, being spoiled is an attitude, you could have all your stuff paid for and not be spoiled, or vice versa..

That being said ski gear isnt everything haha i mean it may be alot but i pay for my own gas and most of the insurance on my car and then my parents do help with the buying of ski gear. Plus i got straight A's first quater and played varsity soccer

my dad buys all of our ski stuff but im not spoiled at all. also, im 15 so i cant really get a legit job (i ref soccer but thats not enough)

my mom was gonna get me a set of skis for christmas, not bindings, not boots, no outerwear, just a set of skis, but my luck has it, living in the city, someone threw a rock through my rear passenger window in my car (nothing was stolen) I don't have the funds to fix it, so now my mom is getting me a new window for christmas, but I don't have skis!!!
sparknotes: was getting skis for christmas, car window got broken into, i'm broke, now i get a window, no skis.

Stop whining parents buy their kids shit deal with it. Just an observation, I don't know anyone who isn't a hardcore skier newschooler type who buys their own ski gear no matter their financial status. For me the only stuff I want ever is ski gear so for my birthday and such I might get tall tees and some hats, or maybe a new jacket if my old one got destroyed or became miniscule.

Actually I do believe that is the point.

File this one under threads that did not go as planned.

my parents bought me my hellbents and my full tilts as a graduation/birthday pres.bought me my arvs for christmas a few years back.does that make me spoiled idk. thats all i got for those occasions

of all the ski stuff i use...

my parents bought, my jacket, my gloves(few years old now) and my race skis

jacket and skis were 100 each

i bought

pants, 3 other pairs of skis, goggles and stuff.

id hardly call that spoiled.

and your parents bought you a house? the fuck?
