i was just wondering how many of you actually buy all of your gear? im 15 and i habve bought all of my equipment from the money i have earned at a job.

ya i work 17 hours a week. i don't have to buy my jacket and snowpants but they make me buy all my skis and bindings

I slave away at shitty summer jobs to get enough money for gear and rent for the fall and winter. Whatever I don't make is covered by a student loan, but that's not a good thing.

I pay for everything myself, except for rent (I live at home still). Skis, boots, bindings, car, college (why I can't get new gear unless it is used), everything comes out of my paycheck.

I was wondering that too when i saw that someone had like 20 ski flicks on here. I barely have 3 they are so dam expensive my parents would never buy them for me. So yeah i buy all my shit thats why i only hav like one siver sweater cause that shits so expensive!

i buy everything, i pay for skis boots, poles, etc.. my parents pay for my clothes and my season pass but I pay for everything else including camps, vids, etc

i buy my stuff, except my parents got me a seasons pass for my bday. i wish my parents would send me to a camp but theyre so damn expensive.

in compton we ain't got ski stuff, i use them two by fours and nail my feet to them. its da shiznit for urban rails. oh and fer poles i just rock my nines in both hands

being 22 and now married i pay for all my gear. Not an easy task. College, rent, wife, and my windsurfing obsession also cost a ton.

 
Being 22 as well probably qualifies you and I as losers for coming on this site...at least as much as I do. I'm not married yet, but my summer biz landscaping makes me enough mone to support my long time GF like %70, my rent all winter, all my new gear in the fall, and gas and food to keep me moving.

Good to hear I'm not the oldest person on here.

well i paid for my skis and poles but got most everything else for birthday and christmas presents. i love haveing lots of aunts and uncles

 
my parents are pretty cool. They split everything half and half, so if skis are $400 I pay $200. My mom wants me safe though, so I was able to talk her into buying my helmet.

I pay for my stuff, i've been shoevln gravel, dign, ditches, and stackn blocks to pay for the skis im getting, oh yeah buying skis though isn't anything compared to buying windsurf gear, the amount you'll pay for a new board these days could get you 3 pairs of skis.

Everything but season pass, jacket and maybe camp will come out of my wallet. And i had like $1800 dollars at the end of the summer and Ill have a camera and skis to show for it.

I pay for most things, but my parents help me out cause I akso shell out 14 grand for school every year.

I feel bad for people who don't drink, cause when they wake up in the morning, thats the best the're going to feel all day

i spent $600 dollas last season, this year i just got new skis for mmy birthday and mounted the old bindings

I have worked for 5 crappy summers at our local golf course in order to ski how much I do. I made around 3 grand last summer, and I bought some Pocket Rockets and bindings with that money....low and behold, first day of the season, they get stolen....oh well, credit card insurance payed for me to get Public Enemies with bindings

i work full time in the summer so my parents pretty much have me buy my own stuff, they did by me some used motherships on ebay for birthday/not failing chemistry though which was cool of them
