How many days do you expect to get this year?

Going for 75 again. Got 72 last year. I coulda gotten it if I had gone a few days where I was sick. I went as much as possible though. EAST COASSSST

Im stuck in georgia for the winter. I should be able to get 5-6 on winter stand down. Really depressing.

Day 1, check!

You can't really count arena sesh's though....

More than last year, i woulda easily gotten about 70 but i tore my MCL in march and couldnt do any spring skiing. spring skiing around here is awesome.

Well last year I had prolly 40 days of racing and around 15 of park since I just started park. But racing is behind me so I'm hoping to get in the 50s

In my 27 seasons 11/12 was without doubt the worst conditions i've had to deal with ever. That said i just called it a season on Saturday in Ushuaia Argentina, hitting that course they had the FIS slope qualifier on was sick and it the most snow i saw all year so that was a good way to call it. The finally tally of ski days for 11/12 was 182. So i'm going for 183 in 12/13.

I should get at least 200 if I go to Hood again. I have no idea of the exact number that I got last year. Gotta work hard to get that many days in but it's well worth it.

10 If I'm lucky in WI, ski club trips are ghey and even though I'll be 17 my parents won't let me drive anywhere ever cuz "its snowy and dangerous"

work a 60 hour per week job 4 hours from skiing. Every time i take a trip would be on the weekend, and if i go alone its $100 in gas alone...so about $180 for a day trip. Shit adds up pretty quick.

I try and stack free tix, vouchers and coupons though so i can hitch a ride to wherever anybody has a pass.

When you get out in the real world and choose to make a comfortable living while balancing a social/family life, you will see how hard it becomes to get ski days in.

While that is true, it all depends on your priorities. If you set up your life so you live near a hill or get lots of vacation time, find a girl who also loves to ski etc etc you can keep the days flowing in.

And yes I do live in the real world, I have a full time 'grown up' job etc.

gotta get them priorities right, having grown up as an aussie kid skiing 3 - 5 days a year while i was at school i made skiing my number 1 priority after school, going from 5 days a year to 200 - 250 days a year does not suck

I dont get it, you work 60 hours a week, so you must make heaps of money, thats more than enough to fund at least a few month long ski trips per year.

But yeah, i'm hoping to get 75 this year, if I count ice rink and hiking sessions in. It just fucking sucks cause my job is an evening job so i cant work full time if i want to get days in. Better just get another normal 7am to 3pm job so i can ski everyday.

I do make a comfortable living, but the hours i work have little to do with it.

And also, you are high as balls if you think people get a month of vacation per year.

I would have to not miss work once for 2+ straight years to accumulate 20 days of vacation. and i am forced to use 5 days of that over christmas break. And even if i wanted to spend that vacation, my bosses would be pissed if i took more than a week of vacation in my first couple years of working there.

And living is expensive in my area...very expensive.

And i wouldnt change a thing right now...cept moving tahoe a few hours closer.

i barely brake 70 every year. thats skiing every Friday night, every weak end, every break and the occasional snow day.

I got 32 days last season. Allot of them driving back and forth from Tahoe on my own. A solid 4 hours. If that 4 hours was 2, I think i'd get easily 60-70 days in. Love where I live, so that 4 hours aint changing anytime soon.

Definitely taking week long breaks during the winter. 50 days would be amazing.
