well im always getting introuble at school for skipping and just not going...

ive missed 26 days this year with another 6 weeks to go. i miss just case i dont feel like going or im sick or ive gone a trip.

my school used to call my house everytime i missed but they stopped calling me this semester lol..

how many days a year do u miss?
 
The times when I'm sick and when I have things to do like appointments, I don't just not go because I'm not immature and I realize that going to school is beneficial. Wow I sound like a preacher.

bitch im in 9th grade with algebra 2. when most kids in my grade have alg 1 and then 10th grade they have to take geometry before they can even get to alg 2. im in class with abunch of 11th graders.

just cause i miss school doesnt mean im a dumbass

 
I probably only missed 3 or 4 times a year that weren't school related. I skip classes often in college though. Probably 1 or 2 a week.
 
Last year I missed around 60-70 days of school. Its pretty sweet when you miss that much and still get all A's.
 
I dont skip school very much but I missed 1st period like 27 days in the first semester because I sleep in.
 
2 days to ski, skipped probably 6 various periods (4 period day) on different days. And probably 1 or 2 other days. Other years I miss about 10 days for ski trips and didn't used to skip cause I didn't have a car so I couldn't go anywhere anyway.
 
skipped one day, but so did all the other juniors.....i lied about and little did i know, a bunch of juniors said they went to my house, so i kinda got caught and got two Saturdays
 
^ lol that sucks.... my brother took roller blades to school and during a b ball game he whore them out there and stole the ball and got tackled by our principle lol..

he only got one saturday.
 
8th period. so thats one class every other day. if you want to get technical its a study hall.
 
i actually skipped todayo go to a baseball game. and if walking around the halls but not leaving school ocunts as ditching then i got about 500
 
well, im one of the only ones in college. But I skip classes like once a week. For instance, I pick a class rotationally so I don't miss too many of one.
 
ive missed like 7 this year all cuz of sickness but next year when i get my license im just gonn a have my parents cal me in sick so i can go skiin and my grades make it so my mom will haha
 
ive skipped a few days this year

2 half days in which i went skiing and 1 day i missed because i went to see my dad in the Boston marathon
 
i miss days here and there for sickness and sports, but not alot. somewhere between 6 and 8.

somehow though i got a letter from school saying i have missed 12 days in chemistry and math(how could i skip, i have A's in both), and i was in deep shit with my parents for a while
 
I didn't skip a single class throughout high school. In college, I've skipped two classes in two years, though I'm a bit more lenient on staying home when I'm sick now that I'm in college.

ive been gone all day 21 times, tardy 17 and left early countless more. there have been about 4 weeks all year that ive been in all of my classes all day for a week straight.
 
i missed 10 days or so just being sick.. which is ALOT for me. and i have about 5 tardies. not too shabby.

same. i never missed much school in highschool. Now whenever i have an ealy class and im hungover i just dont go. I just skipped my final presentation yesterday cuz i couldent wake up.
 
hahaha oh god, im not very good at going to school consistently kinda. Like i only missed 2 days of the first semester cus i was on it and all but then they started giving me lunch detentions cus i was late to school all the time so i was like, fuck you i dont want to go to lunch detention then it was like fuck you i dont want to go to inhouse suspension, then eventualy fuck you i dont want to go to school so i can sit in in house and do janitarial work after school for 2 hours. So then i ended up dropping out and just finisehd the year on the interenet and im coming back next year with only after noon classes so i dont have to go through this shit again

but yeah before they dropped me i missed 35 days, at my school we have this bullshit policy if you miss 5 days of one class un excused you fail that class. my school is so fucking retarded why would you continue to go after knowing you already failed the class you have to sit 2 hours in everyday
 
i was really good about not missing school through junior year. i'd miss maybe 2 or 3 days a year, and they were all excused by my parents or whatever. second semester senior year, however, was a different story. i had already been accepted to the college i wanted to go to (CU), and i was 18 so i could call and excuse myself, so i missed probably 1 day a week or so.
 
ok, first off: it takes a thread like this to make me realize i'm way older than most everyone on here.

and secondly: how do you kids know precisely the number of days you've missed and the number of days you've been tardy? when i was in highschool i remember i missed a decent amount of days and was tardy for a few more.
 
its on the report cards, at least mine. there's a section with lates/ tardies per marking period.

I'm not normally absent more than a few days each year. It's only when I'm sick. I go in late occasionally if I didn't get enough sleep. when I can drive I'll probably miss more, but not much. Making up work is a real pain in the ass sometimes.
