do you put after a period before beginning the next sentence? One or Two? I was rudely awakened to the option of using one today.

my computer class teaches two. but i only use one. bad for my grade, but good for the soul.

I don't deny there are bad things in the US right now, hell, 51% of the country to be exact. But god damnit, our country being fat is NOT a problem. I do't give a shit how fat people are. hell, fat kids are harder to kidnap, that means our country is safer.

for all my term papers etc. I am told to use only 1 space. My teachers tell me thats how it is in college and the 'real' world so I should get used to it

No it's one space. In Word when you put two the little green grammar thing highlights, it's definitely 1
