so i have a pair of old scratch bc's that ive been trying to decamber so far i have them clamped with ski poles opening up the ends and moving them up everytime and today i have held a hair dryer on each tip and tail for 5 minutes each about once every hour and they still snack perfectly back...how long do i have to do this for before it will hold its reverse camber?

i think its a guess and check kinda deal. each ski probably varies, but i would say dont hold it in one spot for more than a couple minutes

bending them wont work, i did it with about a 4 inch piece of wood between the tips and tails.... you have to heat it up pretty hot... and when the temp is right you can actually see it giving in, when you get it its not a nice curve like hell bents. its just the one spot that got hot enough to bend and when i look at the bases it looks like the wood core is going to pop out of the base. they ride fine and dont feel like they are going to snap but you go a bit slower. and they still have camber in the middle
