So yesterday was my 1st anniversary on NS (a noob by most standards) and I was just wondering how long all you guys and girls have been on here.
 
woah. funny this thread shows up today. I look in my profile to see, and whattya know, "January 25th 2005" 4 years ago today.
 
My name is Nate Turley and I am an addict.
I took my first taste on November 4th, 2004, and I was immediately hooked.
 
june 2005. I browsed for like a year before (i think it helps so you can understand how everything works around here without having to ask and risk getting flamed)
 
little over a year. but to be fair i came on here long before that as a guest because i didnt know how to activate my account with my email and no one was there to tell me to use the searchbar when it was most needed :(
 
Shit if you joined in April 2000 I must have joined in Jan 2000 not Dec 2000. It's all a bit fuzzy to me at this point.
 
wait. sorry if i'm hijacking this thread but:

how many people have been around long enough to remember when the Freeze forum was cool. well - i don't know if it was cool... but what do you want from me? Newschoolers.com didn't exist.
 
just passed 3 year anniversary in december

i had browsed for a few months before that, i remember many a night just watching videos on this site
 
Freeze Forum and K2 Ski Chatter were the shit back in the day. Thats how I found out about NS.
 
ha, me too actually. I don't think i'll ever forget that first time i came across this in 2004 and thought "what the hell is this site?!"

how did NS get its start anyways? Since i joined so much later this place was already fairly well established by the time i got on.
 
Haha Dave did you get banned from your other account, I havent seen you post from this in years. Like since we were working on starting the Montana Ezine cult.
