My computer has been on for over 3 weeks. Photo shop has been open for about 2 and a half weeks ( haven't exited the program once in that time).

just finished my new computer, so five days for this one...but the record for my old one was 63 days.

i never spent time and counted days, but the only time i'd turn mine off would be if it was totally screwed up, or if the power went out. neither of those happened alot, so im guessing my computer was on for a super long time.

ha, my computer probably crashes 2-4 times a day, it hasnt been on for more than 24 hours in awhile, unless i just leave it for the weekend doing nothen

mine crashes once a day. but i get to buy a new computer. i cant decide to get ether a dell or have a friend build it for me.

I bought a new one two years ago and only turned it off once to move. My computer at work has been running for three years, with zero problems.(watch it's going to crash today)

I get annoyed with mine at night trying to sleep when I'm really tired, so I shut it off probably every 2 weeks or so.

my mom left her computer on for 6 weeks and it was just running a bit slow... i went to restart it and it wouldnt restart :/

 
like a month or two, its ok to leave it on but its good to restart once in a while

i have to restart it AT LEAST 4 times a day

i'vge already had to restart it 3 times since 3, and it's 6 now

it can;t handle aim, photshop, and internet explorer at the same time

my computer here at work has been on for like a month strait. I put my laptop on standby at home every time i use it.

Believe it or not, it is actually healthier for your computer when you leave it on rather than turn it on and off sveral times a day or even in a week (assuming that you have a decent power supply and cooling). My server at home is currently going on it's 1427 hour now (about 59 days I think...) and my computer had an all time record of 90 days (it was three months so it was close to 90 days) but it blew up due to some extreme power surges that hit my house.

Which just goes to show you, one surge protector, or even a surge protector or UPS does not garantee the safety of your beloved computer...

How good is your computer Pat?? Because personally, mine freezes quite a bit and it has 1.5 ghrtz of speed as well as 256 ram ( not too bad) If I have photoshop open it slows down the computer a bit and fucks some things up, so I usually have it off. Im just wondering what you do to keep your running smoothly.

mikee... that should run things fine. chances are, you got spyware or other shit running. use spybot and defrag, and see it that helps...

This computers from 9 years ago. It's super slow and i always have it on becuase if i restart it, all sorts of crap appears about me messing sumthin up. I have to delete like everything on my computer just so the internet will go a little faster. I have DSL and it still goes slower than some1 elses dial up. It pisses me off.

 
this machine has been turned on for 28hours which is a sort of a miracle because usually this piece of crap crashes n+1 times per day.

My labtop that i got two weeks ago wont turn on anymore damn Celeron Processor. Then my desktop computer has been on for about 3 weeks that is a record for my computer.

my puter's been on since the beginning of november, so that's like...4 weeks? I think the record for this computer was during the summer, like a month and 3 weeks, then it crashed cause I tried using some program on it that didn't work.

Mine stays on roughly 24 hours or so before rebooting, since I run Norton Antivirus every day at 3am and Windows Update every day at 4am.

I would turn it off every night, but my router has a hardware firewall and I have no open ports (although I should open one so my Clie UX50 can use VNC to do some things while I am away from home).

I've been meaning to turn mine off, but Overnet is open and downloading NFS Underground so I'm waiting for it, otherwise it will take another year to restart.
