NS was launched in 1999 as a site with basic profiles and 3 trick tips. On October 1st 2000, an updated version was launched that included interactivity like messaging, forums and uploading.
In the 9 years since, the entire site has been re-written twice, moved severs at least 5 times, and has undergone many changes. I think it's fair to say that the "modern" NS is about 9 years old.
