It depends on the pole... some just pull on and off, others have a screw in them.

I don't know how long my poles actually are, but they are the right height for me. (meaning if I hold them by the basket my arms make a 90 degree angle)

I don't get the whole super short pole trend... someone care to explain?

105cm. waist. short poles sucks for normal or powder skiing, but in moguls, if you plant on it, no broken nose, same if you land and unwillingly pole plant...less chances of getting it in the face...like I did this we

i just gave 1 unit in metric and 1 unit in imperial. weird how that works.

It helps with bigger stuff for me because I tend to ski back seat, so I have to lean a lot farther forward to plant and it really helps with my technique.
