How is Tj Schiller an Am?

Why is Tj Schiller an Armada Am as opposed to a pro. I mean, hes getting a lot more publicity for Armada than most of the guys on the Pro team.
 
he's getting xgames publicity. The other armada pro members have more skill in everything else, like backcountry, and better park runs,not just throwing one sw10

i love schiller but

different types of people
 
It definatly won't be long until he's borught up. I think the real problem is Armada is so stacked with the old pro's that they can't really take Julien or JP or any of them off the pro team or they would just leave Armada completly
 
He isn't pro for 05-06 because he said he didn't want to be. He definetly will be for the 06-07 season.
 
so, let me set this straight. any athlete that makes money from skiing, makes profit.

making profit = being professional = being pro.

TJ has been pro since he signed with armada, the pro/am thing on the site is just a label, nothing else.
 
AR6 is the ski for 06/07 so obviously someone besides you caught on to the fact he is pro material. Unless the new 6th Armada team pro member is someone else...ahahaha
 
I'm pretty sure TJ makes just as much if not more than most of the pros on Armada except obviously Tanner
 
oh and i tdont think it will be grete. and shilla's better than wester. (there close tho) i bet in the 07/08 season it will be the AR7
 
regardless, i personally believe that being pro is not and should not be soley based upon skill. A pro in my mind is not only someone who gets paid to do the sport but also has shown dedication to the sport and is willing to show (through their skiing or other ways)what they feel the sport should become. Hell, alot of kids are very good these days, but just because derek spong can stomp the hell out of a smooth sw 10 and do well at the us open should he be pro? in my opinion, no.
 
when tj schiller signed with aramada at the us open a couple years ago, he signed a three year contract. so until that contract expires he will be regarded as an amatuer.
 
i think once his contract expires there will be some fighting for him. i think his loyalty lies with armada, but i guess we'll see...
 
its because it is armada's gimmic to say "this kid is amazing, but still not good enough to be a pro on armada's team
