How is jon olsson so rich?

Because hes smart, I guarantee he doesn't pay jack shit for the car, he gets it free because he endorses it so much, such as doing things like the Gumball, plus look at all his other sponsors stuck on the car, he might even make money from doing it. Its not like you go an actually buy a Lamborghini and pay the price tag upfront anyway it would mostly likely be on higher purchase or something like that, but like I said hes sponsored by Lamborghini.

Also he lives in Monaco, one of the most famous tax havens of the world, so hes making the most out of the money he is getting. A lot of the activities Jon goes to are again like the lambo paid or part paid for because hes endorsing products.

Joss probably makes him a fuckload, its probably second to the Xgames/Dew Tour in terms of freesking, and again sponsor central, lots of hits = lots of people seeing the adverts = lots of money for Jon.

He is amazingly marketable, hes like the American Dream but from Sweeden, he does both disciplines from skiing. He is Head's franchise guy, Head doesnt sponsor that many athletes compared to a lot of others, but is a huge company with a lot of money to throw around. Again companies like J.Lindeberg etc make a lot of money but don't sponsor many people = bigger pot for Jon. He has pro model pretty much everything which makes him royalties. He is excellent at selling himself and what he is doing, he is a businessman as much as he is a skier.

Lot of stuff Jon dusnt pay for out of his own pocket + lots of sponsorship + tax haven = Lots of profit that is invested well

Jon is just a lot smarter to be honest

Apparently, Lambo's are amazing in the snow due to their extremely low center of gravity and wide as fuck rear wheels.....I've also heard rumors of AWD, but those could be just rumors. I've heard they're common at pricey Euro resorts, but i wouldn't know, I ski EC

the lambo that jon has is equipped with Audi's AWD system (this is because lambo is built by Audi (that is also the reason the r8 is the galllardo's lil sister))

Hes european, treats skiing like a job (that means taking himself seriously) has a massively successful blog and videoblog, and is an swedish and international social symbol. He also skis (really skis) and trains all year round (with very little vacation) something most pro skiers can't/ don't do and he has a good manager and agent to get him jobs with companies that actually have money. (betsafe, HQ bank, Radisson, Lmbo, even Men's Health magazine)... That plus some luck and lots of schmoozing is what seperates him from the riders who paint houses all summer and starve all winter

Jon is a huge star in Sweden, which does not have many big name pro athletes. I have heard that he makes 7 figures a year. Monaco is a VERY expensive place to live, so while it gives one great tax breaks it takes a ton of money to live there. Normal apartments go for 1.5 million and up.

I don't know all the details, but Jon has a marketability in Sweden that is unmatched by freeskiers in the U.S.

I believe Henrik Windstedt also makes quite a bit, though not as much as Jon. I have heard he is moving to Monaco. I don't know if this is true, so take it with a grain of salt.

It says on MSP's website that Henrik Windstedt also lives in Monaco. I guess the Swedes really love their ski stars.

The short answer is that he isn't that rich. He is a freeskier. He is sponsored by Lamborghini and probably has no equity in that car. He has large travel budgets from sponsors as he is one of the most successful freeskiers but I would guess his net worth isn't all that impressive. He has a tiny apartment in Monaco, where he is probably based mainly for tax purposes, that despite Monaco's high property values probably still isn't worth that much. He parties with rich people and lives the good life on the coattails of others who want to be around him because he is a fucking pimp.
Living a flashy lifestyle doesn't mean one is rich. I think Jon is a good business man and may eventually do well with investments like his Yniq line, (I think a designer type goggle company is genius because so many people buy the most expensive ski stuff because it is the most expensive and nobody else has yet filled that void) but most businesses fail and there is a good chance Yniq will too. I sort of see Jon as similar to newly signed rappers who are given large amounts of money to buy bling and show a flashy lifestyle but have very little equity. Their actual level of wealth is deceptively low.

It depends what you mean by "deceptively low." He might not have as much as he appears to, but if he is clearing 1 million a year or more he should have quite a bit of money.

An apartment in Monaco is VERY expensive. His is probably at least $1.5 million. It is sort of like having an apartment in Manhattan, only more so. If Jon owns that place, that is a much larger asset, equity-wise, than a Lamborghini.

If you mean he is not worth 30, 40, or 50 million +, you are right. But I do believe he is quite wealthy. He is probably a multi-millionaire, which is quite a big deal in freeskiing. I doubt any other freeskier is as wealthy as Jon.

He lives the rich lifestyle cause he is smart and knows how to manage stuff.

I don't begrudge a smart man the fruits of his labors. Jon just knows how to work it.

land rover, lambo, ultima...jon is definitly a businessman.. when he's buying new stuff like cars, he always drives them for like a year and sells them. Once he explained in his blog that these lambos (he had 3 so far) doesnt cost him such a lot since he drives them carfully and can sell them for a high price.
plus: cars are his hobby... and he pays less for other things to buy his cars.
yes, his appartment is not cheap -but small...look at tanners house - even the living room is bigger than jons hole appartment.
> money makes money... he always writes in his blog how many hours he spends in front of his macbook... all business.

not hating on jon and i would probably buy a lambo as-well if i had the money but buying a lambo is possible the worst investment you could make they lose like 1000000 in value the second you drive it off the lot if he was smart when it came to managing money he would of invested that shit!

One person on here has it right.

Family money.

Sponsors help for sure, but when it comes down to it...family money trumps all

sorry to break it to you but,

a man known as schuster controls freeskiing, he runs all big comps and creates pros careers.

jon was born into dumb money, probably bought his sponsors and career, therefor schuster is rich as well.

He innovated park skiing so he did lots of commercials + JOSS + a lot of sponsors including Lamborghini = loaded.
